All-optical format conversion from return-to-zero (RZ) to non-return-to-zero (NRZ) is demonstrated with temperaturecontrolled all-fibre delay interferometer (DI) at 20 Gb/s. The operation principle is theoretical analysed with the help of numerical simulation and spectra analysis. Theoretical analysis results are consistent well with the experimental results. The format conversion can be achieved with power penalty of 0.54 dB and with output extinction ratio 20 dB. 相似文献

金属-二维材料-金属是最常见的二维材料光探测器件的结构。由于结构简单、易于集成,该类器件受到最广泛的关注和研究。其自驱动光探测的模式具有很低的暗电流,有望成为高性能红外探测的新途径。然而金属-二维材料-金属的自驱动光探测存在两个瓶颈问题:(1)反对称的金属-二维材料结区引起的泛光照射下光响应的抵消;(2)二维材料有限光吸收导致的低响应率。文中介绍了利用等离激元纳米结构的非对称集成引入非对称的光耦合,从而打破泛光照射下二维材料与两端电极接触区域产生的光电流的对称性,实现净的自驱动光响应;同时利用等离激元纳米结构产生的局域强光场提高二维材料光吸收率和光响应率的一系列研究进展。在石墨烯等离激元纳米谐振腔复合结构中,实现两个电极附近的光响应对比度超过100倍,突破了对称光耦合导致的光响应抵消的难题。由于具有将入射光耦合成局域模式的优越能力,等离激元纳米谐振腔比亚波长金属光栅更有效地提高石墨烯响应率一个数量级以上。 相似文献

短波中红外光学(2~2.5 μm)在通信测距、卫星遥感、疾病诊断、军事国防等领域具有广泛的应用。作为短波中红外光学系统的关键核心部件,集成光电器件的开发一直都是重点的研究领域。得益于硅基材料超宽的光谱透明窗口,其在开发短波中红外集成光电子器件方面极具发展前景,近年来获得了广泛的关注。文中简要讨论了短波中红外硅基光子学的应用前景,从无源波导器件(包括波导、光栅耦合器、微型谐振腔、复用/解复用器等)、非线性光学波导器件和光电波导器件(包括调制器和探测器等)三方面综述了短波中红外硅基光子学的发展历史和前沿进展。 相似文献

We propose and demonstrate all-optical clock recovery (OR) from nonreturn-to-zero differential phase-shift- keying (NRZ-DPSK) signals at different bit rates theoretically and experimentally. By pre-processing with a single optical filter, clock component can be enhanced significantly and thus clock signal can be extracted from the preprocessed signals, by cascading a OR unit with a semiconductor optical amplifier based fibre ring laser. Compared with the previous preprocessing schemes, the single filter is simple and suitable for different bit rates. The clock signals can be achieved with extinction ratio over lOdB and rms timing jitter of 0.86 and 0.9 at 10 and 20 Gb/s, respectively. The output performances related to the bandwidth and the detuning of the filter are analysed. By simply using a filter with larger bandwidth, much higher operation can be achieved easily. 相似文献

Suppression of Nonlinear Patterning Effect in Wavelength Conversion Based on Transient Cross-Phase Modulation in Semiconductor Optical Amplifier Assisted with a Detuning Filter 下载免费PDF全文
Nonlinear patterning (NLP) effect in wavelength conversion based on transient cross-phase modulation (XPM) in semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) assisted with a detuning filter is theoretically investigated. A non- adiabatic model is used to estimate the ultrafast dynamics of gain, phase and electron temperature in the SOA. Simulation results show that the NLP can be greatly suppressed by introducing an assist light, especially for the probe wavelength distant from gain peak. Furthermore, the results also indicate that the improvement is more evident for long wavelength probe light and assist light in counter-propagating configuration. 相似文献
