The propagation of elastic waves in an arbitrary direction through a hexagonal piezoelectric crystal is investigated. Orientational relations are obtained in analytic form for the effective elastic moduli and the piezoelectric and dielectric constants, and also for the basic parameters of the elastic waves: the phase velocity, electromechanical coefficient, and the divergence between the displacement vector and the energy flux. Expressions are given for the directions in which the electromechanical coefficient takes an extremal value, and the basic parameters are calculated for cadmium sulfide.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 5, pp. 101–105, May, 1977.  相似文献

Diffraction of light by elastic waves in crystals is described by the method of coupled waves in a form different from that used by other researchers. The difference is determined by the treatment of two pairs of orthogonal coordinate systems whose principal axes are oriented along the directions of phase and energy transfer of two optical waves interacting on a sound wave. Due to this, the equations of coupled waves assume the most compact form, which was previously unknown for crystals. These equations are easily solved by the conventional methods in terms of quasi-plane waves and also admit of a wider class of solutions for bounded interaction regions. Two different diffraction regimes are compared in the present work, namely, the transmission and reflection diffraction. It is indicated that the suggested approach allows one to refine the parameters that define the efficiency of diffraction of light by elastic waves in crystals.  相似文献

We demonstrate the possibility of melting thin (0.1–0.5 μm) InSb films directly in atmosphere under the protective layer of native oxides to obtain high mobility of majority carriers (up to 25 000 cm2/V s). The features of the film synthesis process based on thermal pulsed evaporation of InSb powder in vacuum are studied experimentally. Such a technique makes it possible to provide necessary compositional inhomogeneity of the deposited film for subsequent melting in air.  相似文献

The possibility of designing optical beam splitters based on frustrated total internal reflection (FTIR) is considered. A theory describing splitting of a single light wave into two waves and interference of two light waves in a thin dielectric gap under the FTIR conditions is presented. The resulting expressions are analyzed, and the curves describing the behavior of light beams in the process of their splitting and combining in a thin dielectric layer under the FTIR conditions are plotted.  相似文献
