Exact analytic solutions are presented for two 2 × 2 × ∞ Ising étagères. The first model has a simple cubic lattice with fully anisotropic interactions. The second model consists of two different types of linear chains and includes noncrossing diagonal bonds on the side faces of the 2 × 2 × ∞ parallelepiped. In both cases, the solutions are expressed through square radicals and obtained by using the obvious symmetry of the Hamiltonians, Z 2 × C 2v , and the hidden algebraic λλ symmetry of the transfer matrix secular equations. The solution found for the second model is used to analyze the behavior of specific heat in a frustrated many-chain system. The text was submitted by author in English.  相似文献

It is emphasized that quantum entanglement determined in terms of the von Neumann entropy operator is a stochastic quantity and, therefore, can fluctuate. The rms fluctuations of the entanglement entropy of two-qubit systems in both pure and mixed states have been obtained. It has been found that entanglement fluctuations in the maximally entangled states are absent. Regions where the entanglement fluctuations are larger than the entanglement itself (strong fluctuation regions) have been revealed. It has been found that the magnitude of the relative entanglement fluctuations is divergent at the points of the transition of systems from an entangled state to a separable state. It has been shown that entanglement fluctuations vanish in the separable states.  相似文献

An exact analytical solution for the q-state Potts model on a 2×∞ ladder with arbitrary two-, three-, and four-site interactions in a unit cell in presented is a closed form. This solution is used to show that the finite-size internal energy equation [6] yields an accurate value of the critical temperature for the triangular Potts lattice with three-site interactions in alternate triangular faces. It is argued that the above equation is exact at least for self-dual models on isotopic strips.  相似文献

The behavior of Ising chains with the spin-spin interaction value λ in a transverse magnetic field of constant intensity (h = 1) is considered. For a chain of infinite length, exact analytical formulas are obtained for the second central moment (dispersion) of the entropy operator Ŝ = -lnρ with reduced density matrix ρ, which corresponds to a semi-infinite part of the model chain occurring in the ground state. In the vicinity of a critical point λc = 1, the entanglement entropy fluctuation ΔS (defined as the square root of dispersion) diverges as ΔS ∼ [ln(1/|1 − λ|)]1/2. For the known behavior of the entanglement entropy S, this divergence results in that the relative fluctuation δS = ΔS/S vanishes at the critical point, that is, a state with almost nonfluctuating entanglement is attained.  相似文献

Recent magnetic susceptibility measurements for polycrystalline samples of binuclear nitrosyl iron complexes, [Fe2(C3H3N2S)2(NO)4] (I) and [Fe2(SC3H5N2)2(NO)4] (II), suggest that quantum-mechanical entanglement of the spin degrees of freedom exists in these compounds. Entanglement E exists below the temperature T E that we have estimated for complexes I and II to be 80–90 and 110–120 K, respectively. Using an expression of entanglement in terms of magnetic susceptibility for a Heisenberg dimer, we find the temperature dependence of the entanglement for complex II. Having arisen at the temperature T E , the entanglement increases monotonically with decreasing temperature and reaches 90–95% in this complex at T = 25 K, when the side effects are still small.  相似文献

Using transfer-matrix extended phenomenological renormalization-group methods, we study the critical properties of the spin-1/2 Ising model on a simple-cubic lattice with partly anisotropic coupling strengths \(\mathop J\limits^ \to = (J',J',J)\). The universality of both fundamental critical exponents y t and y h is confirmed. It is shown that the critical finite-size scaling amplitude ratios \(U = A_{\chi ^{(4)} } A_\kappa /A_\chi ^2 ,Y_1 = A_{\kappa ''} /A_\chi\), and \(Y_2 = A_{\kappa ^{(4)} } /A_{\chi ^{(4)} }\) are independent of the lattice anisotropy parameter Δ=J′/J. For the Y2 invariant of the three-dimensional Ising universality class, we give the first quantitative estimate Y2≈2.013 (shape L×L×∞, periodic boundary conditions in both transverse directions).  相似文献

An analysis is made of various methods of phenomenological renormalization based on finite-dimensional scaling equations for inverse correlation lengths, the singular part of the free energy density, and their derivatives. The analysis is made using two-dimensional Ising and Potts lattices and the three-dimensional Ising model. Variants of equations for the phenomenological renormalization group are obtained which ensure more rapid convergence than the conventionally used Nightingale phenomenological renormalization scheme. An estimate is obtained for the critical finite-dimensional scaling amplitude of the internal energy in the three-dimensional Ising model. It is shown that the two-dimensional Ising and Potts models contain no finite-dimensional corrections to the internal energy so that the positions of the critical points for these models can be determined exactly from solutions for strips of finite width. It is also found that for the two-dimensional Ising model the scaling finite-dimensional equation for the derivative of the inverse correlation length with respect to temperature gives the exact value of the thermal critical index.  相似文献

The dependence of anomalous attenuation of sounding waves on the frequency f is studied experimentally in the case of ionospheric F-layer modification by high-power radio emission. It is shown that anomalous attenuation increases for |f−f0| < 20 kHz, f<f0 (f0 is the pump-wave frequency) and decreases for f>-f0 compared with the frequencies that are more distant from f0. This phenomenon is caused by plasma displacement and formation of a stepped electron-density profile in the region of upper hybrid resonance of the pump wave. The Ising model is considered on a simple cubic lattice, with a coupling constant J along one axis and coupling constants J’ along the remaining two axes. The transfer-matrix technique and an extended phenomenological renormalization group theory [18, 19] are applied to obtain two-sided bounds on the critical temperature for the model with J′/J≤1. The bounds monotonically converge with decreasing J′/J and provide improved estimates for the phase-transition temperature in anisotropic three-dimensional Ising model, as compared with those available from the literature.  相似文献
