Identification of odor signature chemicals in cocaine using solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography and detector-dog response to isolated compounds spiked on U.S. paper currency

Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) combined with gas chromatography (GC) is optimized and applied to the analysis of street-cocaine samples followed by the field-testing of isolated chemicals using certified detector dogs. SPME proves to be a very sensitive and rapid method for isolating odor chemicals from street-cocaine samples. SPME-GC and activated charcoal strip (ACS)-SPME-GC signature profile methods are developed for the detection and quantitation of cocaine-odor chemicals, including the optimization of controllable variables such as fiber chemistry, extraction time, and desorption time. The volatile odor chemicals in representative illicit cocaine samples are identified and quantitated by the ACS-SPME-GC signature profile method and direct injection. Field tests with drug detector dogs show methyl benzoate to be the dominant signature odor chemical along with cocaine on U.S. currency at a threshold level of approximately 1-10 microg when spiked or when 10 ng/s methyl benzoate is diffused from polymer bottles, which is required in order to initiate an alert. No other substance studied initiated consistent responses by the drug dogs. The results indicate that the microgram levels of cocaine that have been reported on circulated U.S. currency are insufficient to signal an alert from law-enforcement trained drug detector dogs.     

手性3,5-二甲基-2-芳基-2-吗啉醇盐酸盐的合成及其晶体结构

以(S)-2-氨基丙醇为手性源与α-溴-3-氯苯丙酮反应, (R)-2-氨基丙醇为手性源与6-甲氧基-2-(2-溴丙酰基)萘反应, 分别合成了手性纯化合物(2R,3R,5S)-3,5-二甲基-2-(3-氯苯基)-2-吗啉醇盐酸盐(4a)和(2S,3S,5R)-3,5-二甲基-2-(6-甲氧基-2-萘基)-2-吗啉醇盐酸盐(4b), 利用X射线单晶衍射仪测定了两化合物的晶体结构和两化合物的空间结构, 并初步分析两化合物空间结构, 化合物4a晶体属正交晶系, 空间群为P2₁2₁2, 晶胞参数为: a＝0.8718(2) nm, b＝0.7883(2) nm, c＝2.0247(6) nm, Z＝4, V＝1.3915(7) nm³, D_c＝1.328 g/cm³, F(000)＝584, R₁＝0.0399, wR₂＝0.0797, S＝1.042. 化合物4b晶体属正交晶系, 空间群为P2₁2₁2₁, 晶胞参数为: a＝0.71035 (9) nm, b＝0.77703(10) nm, c＝2.9820(4) nm, Z＝4, V＝1.6318(4) nm³, D_c＝1.318 g/cm³, F(000)＝688, R₁＝0.0520, wR₂＝0.1108, S＝0.994.     

钛在草酸溶液中腐蚀行为的XPS研究

本文首次用X-光电子能谱(XPS)技术研究了H_2C_2O_4溶液中钛基的腐蚀行为, 对Ti基片的表面和界面进行了XPS表征. 实验结果表明:Ti基在80 ℃, 10%的草酸溶液中腐蚀两小时, 样品的表面只有Ti~0和TiO存在; 经过四小时腐蚀的样品表面主要是TiO_2和少部分Ti~(2+). 这与X-衍射分析认为有TiH_(1.042)的结构看法相符。同时, Ti0_2与表面涂层RuO_2都属金红石型结构, 因而完全有可能形成牢固的金属阳极材料。     

Behaviour of organic pollutants in paper and board samples intended to be in contact with food

This paper deals with the study of volatile compounds present in a set of three paper and board (P&B) samples of different composition, surface treatment, grammage and thickness. The volatile compounds released by the packaging material (P&B) can be trapped on the food and may then affect the safety and health of consumers. To evaluate if the recycled P&B could be used as food packaging material, adsorption studies have been performed with a selection of chemical substances. The adsorption isotherms are provided. Partition coefficients between paper and air have been calculated for a series of volatile compounds used as model compounds to represent different families of contaminants commonly present in P&B. Values from 4 to 3243 were obtained at different temperatures. The analysis of volatile compounds have been carried out by automatic headspace coupled on-line with GC/MS in SIM mode. The results obtained are shown and discussed.     

高中化学与大学无机化学教材知识点的衔接研究*

作为化学教育专业的必修课程,无机化学起到了奠定师范生化学理论基础的重要作用。在衔接高中化学知识的前提下,开展大学无机化学教学有助于构建完整的化学知识教学体系、调动师范生学习的积极性,实现高中到大学无机化学课程学习的顺利过渡。笔者在教学实践、教育实习指导及调研的基础上,以人教版高中化学、北师大版《无机化学》教材内容为例,从教与学的角度探讨了高中化学和大学无机化学教材知识点的衔接情况,形成了部分经验积累和教学建议,为师范类专业认证背景下的无机化学课程教学提供借鉴和参考。

Perfluorinated compounds in blood of textile workers and barbers

12 perfluorinated compounds（PFCs） in human blood from workers in a textile mill in Shandong province and several barbershops in Tianjin were analyzed in this study. It was found that perfluorooctanesulfonate（PFOS） and perfluorooctanoate（PFOA） were the most prominent PFCs, with average concentrations of 5.73 mg/L and 5.46 mg/L for textile workers, and 2.55 mg/L and 2.84 mg/L for barbers.PFOS and perfluorohexanesulfonate（PFHxS） concentrations revealed a positive correlation in blood samples（p 〈 0.01）, and concentrations among PFOS, perfluorononanoic acid（PFNA） and perfluorodecanoic acid（PFDA） also revealed positive correlations（p 〈 0.01）. The influence of gender and age on PFC concentration in blood was also investigated, and the results showed that there was no statistically significant difference between the male and female samples, as well as in samples from people with different ages. Crystal Structure of Scheelite-type LiTb(WO_4)_2 and Multi-color Emitting Properties Doped by Eu~(3+)

Single crystal of lithium terbium tungstate LiTb(WO4)2 has been grown by the flux method. The crystal structure was refined from single-crystal X-ray data. It crystallizes in tetragonal system, space group I41/a with a = 5.1749(9), c = 11.1953(19) ?, V = 299.81(12) ?~3, Z = 2, Mr = 661.56, Dc = 7.328 g/cm^3, F(000) = 560, μ(MoKα) = 49.94 mm^-1, R(F^2 > 2σ(F^2)) = 0.026 and wR(F^2) = 0.070. It features a typical scheelite-type structure composed of two-direction packing of isolated WO4 tetrahedra. Li and Tb atoms in the structure occupy the same crystallographic site. Moreover, a series of solid solution phosphors LiTb(1-x)Eux(WO4)2(x = 0.004~0.1) were synthesized by high temperature solid-state reactions. The phosphors could be effectively excited by a wavelength range from 379 to 487 nm, which matches well with the UV and near-UV LED chip. The emission color of the phosphor can be tuned from green, through yellow to red by simply adjusting the relative Eu³⁺ and Tb³⁺ concentration due to the Tb³⁺ to Eu³⁺ energy transfer.

为提高学生探索精神,锻炼学生科学创新思维,培养出更符合社会需要的药学专业型人才,将综合设计性实验的内容引入药物分析实验课程中。以高效液相色谱法测定乌蔹莓中槲皮素、木犀草素的含量,并进行方法学考察为设计任务,通过指导学生查阅资料、设计实验方案、实施实验方案、分析讨论结果,加深学生对基础理论知识的理解;提高学生查阅文献能力、知识扩展能力、自学能力、创新能力等,为就业及深造奠定基础。
