Fe/Al thin film multilayers, differing in the thickness of Fe films (30÷10 Å, were electron-beam evaporated in ultra-high vacuum. Interdiffusion and reaction phenomena occurring during deposition at interfaces were studied by means of conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy and Auger electron spectroscopy depth-profiling. Magnetic behavior was investigated by alternating force gradient magnetometry. The formation of Fe–Al solid solution and intermetallic compound is observed. Multilayers are ferromagnetic with magnetization in the film plane for iron film thickness ?15 Å, while exhibiting a superparamagnetic behavior at 10 Å.  相似文献

Co/Fe multilayers were electron beam evaporated in ultra-high vacuum and analyzed by Alternating Gradient Force Magnetometry, Magnetic Force Microscopy, Conversion Electron Mössbauer Spectroscopy, and Transmission Electron Microscopy. The multilayer of 10 nm Co and 30 nm Fe layer thickness showed a single-phase magnetic behavior because of a strong exchange coupling established between the layers. The system exhibits stripe domains which were correlated to the presence of a perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. The study performed on multilayers where Co was intercalated by very thin 57Fe layers showed that the interfaces were very clean and sharp.  相似文献

Thin bi-layers constituted by a hard L10-FePt layer and a soft Fe layer were obtained using respectively an rf sputtering device and an UHV e-beam evaporation technique. Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect magnetometry, Atomic/Magnetic Force Microscopy and Conversion Electron Mössbauer Spectroscopy were used in order to correlate the magnetic properties of the bi-layers with the effects of the interdiffusion at the interfaces. It has been found that the evaporated Fe can easily diffuse into the hard film, giving raise to the formation of a region containing small particles of both Fe and Fe-rich FePt which show a superparamagnetic behaviour. The ferromagnetic Fe film can grow only on this region. The system shows (i) a preferred orientation of the easy magnetization axis along the direction normal to the film plane, and (ii) a single-phase magnetic behaviour due to the strong exchange coupling which established between the constituent phases.  相似文献

The anisotropy measurement technique based on the second derivative of the magnetization curve is critically analyzed, underlining the utility, the precision and the reliability of the technique. This measurement is traditionally performed utilizing a pulsed magnetic field. A new method to perform the same kind of measurement in a static field is proposed theoretically analyzed and experimentally verified. The scheme of the realized apparatus and the preliminary experimental results are presented and discussed.  相似文献
