Activity coefficients of hydrochloric acid in mixed solutions of manganous chloride at twelve ionic strengths, from 0.1 to 5.0 mole-kg–1, were obtained from emf measurements of cells without liquid junction at five temperatures from 5 to 45°C. The data were interpreted in terms of the simple and convenient Pitzer treatment. Activity coefficients for manganous chloride in the mixtures were also derived using Pitzer's equations. Hydrochloric acid follows Harned's rule fromI=0.1 to 3.0 mole-kg–1, as concluded by Downes, whereas quadratic terms are warranted fromI=3.5 to 5.0 mole-kg–1. Contrary to Downes' conclusion, Harned's rule clearly does not hold true for manganous chloride at most ionic strengths.  相似文献

K(892) production is studied in the reaction π?N → KS0KS0 + X where X includes up to five observed charged particles. An excess of K1? over K1+ is observed for Feynman-x > 0.1. The ratio of K1+ to K1? decreases with x as predicted by QCD counting rules. KS0 and K1 production are compared to recent D and D1 data from other experiments.  相似文献

Background  

Neurons require an elaborate system of intracellular transport to distribute cargo throughout axonal and dendritic projections. Active anterograde and retrograde transport of mitochondria serves in local energy distribution, but at the same time also requires input of ATP. Here we studied whether brain-type creatine kinase (CK-B), a key enzyme for high-energy phosphoryl transfer between ATP and CrP in brain, has an intermediary role in the reciprocal coordination between mitochondrial motility and energy distribution. Therefore, we analysed the impact of brain-type creatine kinase (CK-B) deficiency on transport activity and velocity of mitochondria in primary murine neurons and made a comparison to the fate of amyloid precursor protein (APP) cargo in these cells, using live cell imaging.  相似文献
