A silver-nanowire cavity is functionalized with CdSe nanocrystals and optimized towards cavity quantum electrodynamics by varying the nanocrystal-nanowire distance d and cavity length L. From the modulation of the nanocrystal emission by the cavity modes a plasmon group velocity of v (gr) approximately 0.5c is derived. Efficient exciton-plasmon-photon conversion and guiding is demonstrated along with a modification in the spontaneous emission rate of the coupled exciton-plasmon system.  相似文献

Oscillations of a stratified fluid with a continuous distribution of the density that completely or partly fills a fixed vessel are investigated. Small oscillations of a stratified fluid with discrete distribution of the density have been investigated by Kopachevskii [1, 2]. Photonic-molecule modes of a cobweb-microstructure fiber allow efficient nonlinear optical spectral broadening of nanojoule femtosecond light pulses. Spectral widths of approximately 200 nm are achieved at the output of a 6-cm sample of such a fiber for 40-fs Ti:sapphire laser pulses with an energy of a few nanojoules coupled into photonic-molecule modes. Higher values of the group index and a lower group-velocity dispersion, attainable with higher-order photonic-molecule modes, allow the efficiency of spectral broadening of femtosecond laser pulses to be increased relative to the efficiency of spectral broadening in the fundamental photonic-molecule mode. We report about the synthesis and optical properties of a composite metal-insulator-semiconductor nanowire system which consists of a wet-chemically grown silver wire core surrounded by a SiO2 shell of controlled thickness, followed by an outer shell of highly luminescent CdSe nanocrystals. With microphotoluminescence (micro-PL) experiments, we studied the exciton-plasmon interaction in individual nanowires and analyzed the spatially resolved nanocrystal emission for different nanowire length, SiO2-shell thickness, nanocrystal shape, pump power, and emission polarization. For an SiO2 spacer thickness of approximately 15 nm, we observed an efficient excitation of surface plasmons by excitonic emission of CdSe nanocrystals. For nanowire lengths up to approximately 10 microm, the composite metal-insulator-semiconductor nanowires ((Ag)SiO2)CdSe act as a waveguide for 1D-surface plasmons at optical frequencies with efficient photon outcoupling at the nanowire tips, which is promising for efficient exciton-plasmon-photon conversion and surface plasmon guiding on a submicron scale in the visible spectral range.  相似文献

We propose a strategy for automated trading, outline theoretical justification of the profitability of this strategy, and overview the backtesting results in application to foreign currencies trading. The proposed methodology relies on the assumption that processes reflecting the dynamics of currency exchange rates are in a certain sense similar to the class of Ornstein–Uhlenbeck processes and exhibit the mean reverting property. In order to describe the quantitative characteristics of the projected return of the strategy, we derive the explicit expression for the running maximum of the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process stopped at maximum drawdown and look at the correspondence between derived characteristics and the observed ones.
