The spin splitting caused by the terms linear in wavevector in the effective Hamiltonian containing can give rise to the new magneto-oscillation phenomena in two-dimensional systems. The energy characteristics of an XeCl exciplex lamp with planar construction pumped by a low-pressure gas discharge are investigated
experimentally. When a discharge gap of width 2 cm and a Xe-Cl2 mixture were used, average radiation powers up to 20 mW were obtained in the wavelength interval 200–380 nm at efficiencies
of ∼0.4%. In this case the total efficiency of radiation into an angle of 4π exceeded 4%. It is shown that increasing the working pressure and using low discharge currents can lead to “point” radiation
sources.

Lasing and discharge in mixtures of SF6 with hydrogen and hydrocarbons are investigated. If the chemical reaction is initiated by a self-sustained discharge (a generator
with both an inductive and capacitive energy storage can be used), the maximum lasing efficiency is attained at high values
of the ratio E/p (where E is the electric field intensity and p is the pressure in the mixture) if shaped electrodes and preionization of the discharge gap are employed. For the first time,
the lasing efficiency obtained in a nonchain HF laser is as high as 10% of the energy deposit and 4.5% of the stored energy
for a specific radiation energy of ≈140 J/(l atm). At high efficiencies, the emission spectrum of the nonchain HF laser significantly
broadens and cascade lasing at P(3-2) → P(2-1) → P(1-0) vibrational transitions for several rotational lines is realized. 相似文献

Two-high power excimer laser systems with square (25 × 25 cm) and circular (with a diameter of 40 cm) cross sections of the
output laser beam are described. The first (second) system consists of four (five) excimer lasers. The experimental results
on the generation of the high-quality high-power laser pulses are presented. Laser beams with a pulse duration of 1–250 ns,
a divergence of 0.01 mrad, a spectral line width of 0.01 cm−1, and a pulse energy of up to 330 J are obtained.

Conditions are studied under which an electron beam and a volume discharge with a subnanosecond rise time of a voltage pulse
are produced in air under atmospheric pressure. It is shown that the electron beam appears in a gas-filled diode at the front
of the voltage pulse in ∼0.5 ns, has a half-intensity duration of ≤0.4 ns and an average electron energy of ∼0.6 of the voltage
across the gas-filled diode, and terminates when the voltage across the gap reaches its maximum value. The electron beam with
an average electron energy of 60 to 80 keV and a current amplitude of ≥70 A is obtained. It is assumed that the electron beam
is formed from electrons produced in the gap due to gas ionization by fast electrons when the intensity of the field between
the front of the expanding plasma cloud and the anode reaches its critical value. A nanosecond volume discharge with a specific
power input of ≥400 MW/cm3, a density of the discharge current at the anode of up to 3 kA/cm2, and specific energy deposition of ∼1 J/cm3 over 3 to 5 ns is created. 相似文献
