Electrochemical characteristics for the nanoporous carbon|Et4NBF4+acetonitrile interface have been studied by cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy methods. The influence of the electrolyte concentration and thickness of the nanoporous electrode material on the shape of the cyclic voltammetry and impedance curves has been established and the reasons for these phenomena are discussed. A value of zero charge potential, depending slightly on the structure and concentration of the electrolyte, the region of ideal polarizability and other characteristics have been established. The nanoporous nature of the carbon electrodes introduces a distribution of resistive and capacitive elements, giving rise to complicated electrochemical behaviour. Analysis of the complex plane plots shows that the nanoporous carbon|Et4NBF4+acetonitrile electrolyte interface can be simulated by an equivalent circuit, in which two parallel conduction paths in the solid and liquid phases are interconnected by the double-layer capacitance in parallel with the complex admittance of the hindered reaction of the charge transfer or of the partial charge transfer (i.e. adsorption stage limited) process. The values of the characteristic frequency depend on the electrolyte concentration and electrode potential, i.e. on the nature of the ions adsorbed at the surface of the nanoporous carbon electrode. The value of the solid state phase resistance established is independent of the thickness of the electrode material.  相似文献

Atomic layer deposition of hafnium dioxide (HfO2) on silicon substrates was studied. It was revealed that due to low adsorption probability of HfCl4 on silicon substrates at higher temperatures (450–600 °C) the growth was non-uniform and markedly hindered in the initial stage of the HfCl4–H2O process. In the HfI4–H2O and HfI4–O2 processes, uniform growth with acceptable rate was obtained from the beginning of deposition. As a result, the HfI4–H2O and HfI4–O2 processes allowed deposition of smoother, more homogeneous and denser films than the HfCl4–H2O process did. The crystal structure developed, however, faster at the beginning of the HfCl4–H2O process.  相似文献

Boussinesq-type wave equations involve nonlinearities and dispersion. In this paper a Boussinesq-type equation with displacement-dependent nonlinearities is presented. Such a model was proposed by Heimburg and Jackson for describing longitudinal waves in biomembranes and later improved by Engelbrecht, Tamm and Peets taking into account the microinertia of a biomembrane. The steady solution in the form of a solitary wave is derived and the influence of nonlinear and dispersive terms over a large range of possible sets of coefficients demonstrated. The solutions emerging from arbitrary initial inputs are found using the numerical simulation. The properties of emerging trains of solitary waves are analysed. Finally, the interaction of solitary waves which satisfy the governing equation is studied. The interaction process is not fully elastic and after several interactions radiation effects may be significant. This means that for the present case the solitary waves are not solitons in the strict mathematical sense. However, like in other cases known in solid mechanics, such solutions may be conditionally called solitons.  相似文献

Nanostructured polycrystalline titania (TiO2) microfibers were produced by direct drawing from visco-elastic alkoxide precursors. The fiber crystallinity and grain size were shown to depend on post-treatment calcination temperature. Tensile tests with individual fibers showed strong sensitivity of the elastic modulus and the tensile strength to microstructural details of the fibers. The elastic modulus of as-fabricated fibers increased about 10 times after calcination at 700 °C, while the strain at failure remained almost the same at ~1.4 %. The highest tensile strength of more than 800 MPa was exhibited by nanoscale grained fibers with a bimodal grain size distribution consisting of rutile grains embedded into an anatase matrix. This structure is believed to have reduced the critical defect size, and thus increased the tensile strength. The resultant fibers showed properties that were appropriate for reinforcement of different matrixes.  相似文献

We demonstrate that growth rate bistability for bacterial cells growing exponentially at a fixed external antibiotic concentration can emerge when the cell wall permeability for the drug is low and the growth rate sensitivity to the intracellular drug concentration is high. Under such conditions, an initially high growth rate can remain high, due to dilution of the intracellular drug concentration by rapid cell volume increase, while an initially low growth rate can remain low, due to slow cell volume increase and insignificant drug dilution. Our findings have implications for the testing of novel antibiotics on growing bacterial strains.  相似文献

The in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data indicate that butyltrimethylammonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (N4111(TFSI)) adsorbs strongly within the potential range −3.25 V < E < −2.25 V and specifically at E < −3.25 V (vs. Ag-QRE) at the Al electrode. Strong adsorption of the intermediates of N4111(TFSI) electrochemical decomposition was observed in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry measurements. At E < −4.25 V (vs. Ag-QRE), very intensive electrochemical reduction of N4111(TFSI) took place at the Al electrode giving gaseous products. In the potential range from − 2.25 to 0.00 V (vs. Ag-QRE), non-specific adsorption of N4111(TFSI) exists et al. surface.

This paper reports the elaboration and validation of a new technique for extensional rheological characterization of highly reactive viscous liquids contained in a transparent reaction bulb where considered liquids have been prepared. For measurements, a rod was pulled down to contact with a surface of the liquid and then instantly raised up resulting in formation of a liquid thread. During the test, the studied fluid is in an equilibrium state with an inherent vapor. The elasto-capillary self-thinning and ultimate breakup of threads was registered by a high-speed camera. From the fluid dynamics point of view, the main distinguishing feature of the proposed method from the standard capillary breakup extensional rheometer (CaBER) method is the presence of unlimited amount of a test liquid under the endplate of a moving rod. In the present work, the presumable effect of this distinguishing factor on the final test data was estimated. In the frame of this research, the simulations of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids were conducted for the tests performed with the newly elaborated and CaBER-like configurations of devices. The test and computed data show some difference in the results obtained only at low values of Hencky strain (at the initial period of thread evolution). Increase in Hencky strain leads to a good agreement between results obtained with the help of CaBER-like devices as well as the proposed one.  相似文献
