Benchmark results are presented for electrons colliding with hydrogen atoms in the S-wave (Temkin-Poet) model collision problem, which neglects angular momentum. Complete results (elastic, inelastic, and ionization), accurate to 1%, are obtained by numerically integrating Schrodinger's equation subject to correct asymptotic boundary conditions. This marks the first time direct matching to asymptotic boundary conditions has been shown to yield convergent ionization amplitudes for a Coulomb three-body problem. Results are presented for impact energies of 54.4 and 40.8 eV, where comparison with other theories is available. 相似文献

The formulation of rigorous, dispersion relations for on-shell three-body amplitudes in a separable model is reported. The results of approximate calculations of s-wave n-d elastic scattering are compared with exact, numerical solutions of the Faddeev equations. 相似文献

We formulate scattering theory in the framework of a surface-integral approach utilizing analytically known asymptotic forms of the two-body and three-body scattering wavefunctions. This formulation is valid for both short-range and long-range Coulombic interactions. New general definitions for the potential scattering amplitude are presented. For the Coulombic potentials, the generalized amplitude gives the physical on-shell amplitude without recourse to a renormalization procedure. New post and prior forms for the Coulomb three-body breakup amplitude are derived. This resolves the problem of the inability of the conventional scattering theory to define the post form of the breakup amplitude for charged particles. The new definitions can be written as surface-integrals convenient for practical calculations. The surface-integral representations are extended to amplitudes of direct and rearrangement scattering processes taking place in an arbitrary three-body system. General definitions for the wave operators are given that unify the currently used channel-dependent definitions. 相似文献

We present accurate ab initio numerical solutions of the full Schr?dinger equation for the electron-impact ionization of hydrogen near threshold using the propagating exterior complex scaling method. They provide strong support for the Wannier threshold law [Phys. Rev. 90, 817 (1953)], giving sigma proportional to E(1.122+/-0.015), and also give the energy dependence of the electrons' angular distribution as (pi-theta12) FWHM approximately 3.0E(1/4), in general agreement with classical and semiclassical predictions. 相似文献

A novel series of long-chain unsaturated dicarboxylic acids consisting of a long aliphatic chain attached to the C-3 position of itaconic acid has been identified by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry during in vitro decay of eucalypt wood by the white-rot basidiomycete Ceriporiopsis subvermispora. The major compounds were identified as tetradecyl-, 7-hexadecenyl- and hexadecylitaconic acids by their mass fragmentation patterns. Other members of the same compound series, identified as dodecanyl-, tridecanyl-, tetradecenyl-, pentadecanyl-, octadecenyl- and octadecanylitaconic acids, were present in very minor amounts or traces. Whereas hexadecenylitaconic acid has already been reported in cultures of C. subvermispora, to our knowledge this is the first report of the presence of the other alkylitaconic acids in fungal cultures. These new alkylitaconic-type metabolites may constitute a source for peroxidizable lipids involved in lignin degradation during wood decay by C. subvermispora and other white-rot basidiomycetes. 相似文献
