Palladium(II) acetate is readily converted into [Pd32‐OH)(OAc)5] ( 1 ) in the presence of water in a range of organic solvents and is also slowly converted in the solid state. Complex 1 can also be formed in nominally anhydrous solvents. Similarly, the analogous alkoxide complexes [Pd32‐OR)(OAc)5] ( 3 ) are easily formed in solutions of palladium(II) acetate containing a range of alcohols. An examination of a representative Wacker‐type oxidation shows that the Pd‐OH complex 1 and a related Pd‐oxo complex 4 can be excluded as potential catalytic intermediates in the absence of exogenous water.  相似文献

A Lewis basic platinum(0)–CO complex supported by a diphosphine ligand and B(C6F5)3 act cooperatively, in a manner reminiscent of a frustrated Lewis pair, to activate small molecules such as hydrogen, CO2, and ethene. The structure of a new metastable geometric isomer of [Ru(NH3)4(H2O)(SO2)][MeC6H4SO3]2 in which the SO2 group is coordinated through a single oxygen in an eta1-OSO bonding mode has been determined at 13 K; the new isomer was obtained as a 36% component of the structure within a single crystal upon irradiation using a tungsten lamp.  相似文献

Reaction of N-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)-4-R-benzaldimines (L-R, R = OCH3, CH3, H, Cl and NO2) with [Os(PPh3)3Br2] in refluxing 2-methoxyethanol in the presence of triethylamine affords two families of organoosmium complexes (1-R and 2-R). In both 1-R and 2-R complexes a benzaldimine ligand is coordinated to the metal center as tridentate C,N,O-donor. In the 1-R complexes, a bidentate N,O-donor imionsemiquinonate ligand, derived from the hydrolysis of another benzaldimine, and a PPh3 ligand are also coordinated to osmium. In the 2-R complexes, a carbonyl, derived from decarbonylation of 4-R-benzaldehyde (derived from the same hydrolysis stated above), and two PPh3 ligands take up the remaining coordination sites on osmium. Structures of the 1-Cl and 2-OCH3 complexes have been determined by X-ray crystallography. All the 1-R and 2-R complexes are diamagnetic, and show characteristic 1H NMR signals and intense MLCT transitions in the visible region. Cyclic voltammetry on the 1-R complexes shows a reversible Os(III)-Os(IV) oxidation within 0.47-0.67 V (vs SCE), followed by an irreversible oxidation of the imionsemiquinonate ligand within 1.10-1.36 V. An irreversible Os(III)-Os(II) reduction is also displayed by the 1-R complexes within −1.02 to −1.14 V. Cyclic voltammetry on the 2-R complexes shows a reversible Os(II)-Os(III) oxidation within 0.29-0.51 V, followed by a quasi-reversible oxidation within 1.04-1.29 V, and an irreversible reduction of the coordinated benzaldimine ligand within −1.16 to −1.31 V.  相似文献

Enzymes that act on substrates R–O–PO3H2 often work on substrate analogues R–O–AsO3H2; such substrates are unstable, since esters of H3AsO4 hydrolyse easily. They also form easily, so that an enzyme that acts on R–O–PO3H2 often acts on a mixture of R–OH and arsenate via an ester that forms at the active site. Similarly coenzyme analogues may be formed; for example, a stable and active aspartate aminotransferase forms from the apoenzyme with free pyridoxal and arsenate. Enzymes that convert R–O–PO3H2 into a diester often act on R–CH2–AsO3H2, a stable substrate analogue; then the product is unstable and hydrolyses to re-form the analogue, giving a futile cycle. For example, RNA polymerase acquires exonuclease activity in the presence of H2O3P–CH2–AsO3H2; adenylate kinase acquires ATPase activity in the presence of the arsonomethyl analogue of AMP. A recent observation is that HO–CH2–CHOH–CH2–CH2–AsO3H2 is a good substrate for glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase. The product is unstable and eliminates arsenite, sharing this ability with other 3-oxoalkylarsonates. Thus this enzyme–catalysed oxidation is a lethal synthesis, in view of the toxicity of arsenite. Another unusual biochemical reaction of an arsonic acid is seen in the ability of a bacterium to use arsonoacetate as its sole source of carbon and energy. In contrast with the elimination of arsenite by 3-oxoalylarsonic acids, 3-oxoalkylphosphonic acids, R–CO–CH2–CH2–PO3H2, are stable. 2-Oxoalkylphosphonic acids, R–CO–CH2–PO3H2, however, are moderately unstable to hydrolysis, yielding phosphate and R–CO–CH3. 2-Oxoalkylarsonic acids, R–CO–CH2–AsO3H2, decompose in the same way, but much more readily, yielding arsenate. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

An oxygen atom is selectively inserted into the P?B bond of a borylphosphine ( L1 ) by reaction with Me3NO to afford the corresponding borylphosphinite ( L2 ). This transformation can also be effected when L1 is coordinated to rhodium. The ν(CO) values for trans‐[RhCl(CO)(L)2] reveal very different electronic properties for coordinated L1 and L2 which translate into the strikingly different performances of the complexes [RhCl(L)(cod)] (L= L1 or L2 , cod=1,5‐cyclooctadiene) in hydrosilylation and hydroboration catalysis.  相似文献

A new class of pyrazolo[3,4-a]acridines have been prepared. The synthon acridones were obtained in very good yield by a one-pot reaction of 2-amino-5-chloro or nitro substituted benzophenones with 1,3-cyclic diketones in the presence of freshly prepared Eaton’s reagent without solvent, using Friedländer synthesis. The intermediates were reacted with ethylformate followed by hydrazine hydrate to afford pyrazolo[3,4-a]acridines. All of the compounds were purified by recrystallization only, and no chromatographic workup was required. The structures of the synthesized compounds were deduced by spectroscopic techniques, including single-crystal x-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Transition-metal complexes containing (C-C)→M σ-interactions have potential applications in both catalysis and the activation and cleavage of C-C bonds. Fully characterising the bonding and interactions in complexes containing such (C-C)→M σ-interactions is vital to understand their chemical behaviour. As a result a high-resolution experimental X-ray charge density study has been undertaken on [Rh(Binor-S)(PCy(3))][HCB(11)Me(11)] (Binor-S = 1,2,4,5,6,8-dimetheno-s-indacene) which contains a (C-C)→Rh interaction. The data are analysed using Bader's "Atoms in Molecules" (AIM) approach with particular attention paid to the interactions around the rhodium centre. The results provide clear evidence for the σ(C-C)→Rh interaction in the solid-state which is classified as a weak covalent interaction. These results are supported by theoretical calculations.  相似文献

It is well known that, for stepsize sufficiently small, compactattractors of ordinary differential equations persist underdiscretization. The present paper describes the structure ofthe discrete-time dynamical system obtained via discretizationon A(Mh)\Mh where Mh is the approximate attractor and A(Mh)is its domain of attraction. The existence of a smooth embeddinginto a continuous-time parallelizable flow is proved. The constructioncan be used to define sections for discretizations and can beinterpreted as a justification of the method of modified equations.  相似文献

The conversion of adamantane exclusively to 1-adamantyl trifluoroacetate in a refluxing trifluoroacetic acid solution of palladium acetate at 1 atm of air or nitrogen was confirmed. The conversion can be made quantitative. The 1-adamantyl trifluoroacetate was hydrolysed to yield 1-adamantanol in 90% isolated yield. The adamantane functionalization is accompanied by concomitant formation of a palladium mirror.  相似文献
