We show numerically and experimentally that spatial trapping can be induced in quadratic media even if the pump pulse's duration is shorter than the group-delay mismatch between fundamental wave and second-harmonic components. The influence of phase mismatch and pulse power on the trapping effect is discussed. Spatial, temporal, and spectral behaviors that accompany self-trapped propagation are highlighted. 相似文献

Excited states of 65Ge were populated via the 12C + 58Ni (261 MeV) reaction using the NORDBALL detector array equipped with charged-particle and neutron detector systems for reaction channel separation. On the basis of γγ-coincidence relations and angular distribution ratios a significantly extended level scheme was constructed up to E x = 9 MeV and J π = (33/2?). The low-energy states of the nucleus are discussed in the framework of the interacting boson-fermion model. 相似文献

A study of deep-inelastic and multi-nucleon transfer reactions to populate neutron-rich
O, Ne and F nuclei is here presented. The reaction under analysis employed a beam of radioactive
24Ne at 7.9 AMeV, provided by the
SPIRAL facility at Ganil, impingin on a 208Pb target. The reaction products have been
detected in the VAMOS spectrometer in coincidence with gamma rays
measured by the EXOGAM array. Preliminary results here presented show a selectivity

x ∼ 7.8 MeV and I = 35/2. The experimental results were described within the framework of the shell model. Candidates for states fully aligned

5/2, g
7/2)2 valence configuration space were found at 4109 and 6265 keV.

The erbium incorporation into LiNbO3 by diffusion doping is investigated in detail by means of Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry, Secondary Neutral Mass Spectrometry,
Rutherford Backscattering, Atomic Force Microscopy, X-ray Standing Wave technique and optical site-selective spectroscopy.
The diffusion of erbium in LiNbO3 can be described by Fick’s laws of diffusion with a concentration-independent diffusion coefficient. The diffusion constants
and activation energies for Z-cut (X-cut) LiNbO3 are 4.8×10-5 cm2/s (12.0×10-5 cm2/s) and 2.28 eV (2.44 eV), respectively. A limited solubility of erbium in LiNbO3 has to be taken into account increasing exponentially with rising temperature. During the first step of diffusion an Er
x
Nb
y
-oxide layer is formed at the surface of the sample acting as diffusion reservoir. Erbium is incorporated into LiNbO3 on vacant Li-sites slightly shifted from the original Li-position along the (-c)-direction. Site-selective spectroscopy found
four distinguishable energetically different erbium centres at this lattice site resulting from locally different symmetries
of the crystal field.

Attenuated total reflection (ATR) spectroscopy employing a prism and a dielectric spacer layer is used to determine the optical constants of vacuum deposited aluminium films. In the energy range of the 1.5 eV interband transition, a strong dependence of the optical constants on the material of the underlying layer is found. The unbound excited states of the most neutron-rich dripline oxygen isotope, 24O, have been investigated by using the 24O(p,p′)24O* reaction at the beam energy of 62 MeV/nucleon in inverse kinematics. The first and second unbound excited states of 24O have been observed at ${E_{\rm x}= 4.63_{-0.14}^{+0.30}}$ MeV and ${E_{\rm x}= 5.13_{-0.24}^{+0.19}}$ MeV (preliminary) along with the evidence for another higher lying state at around 7.3 MeV. The quadrupole deformation parameter ${\beta_{2^+}}$ was deduced to be ${0.15_{-0.03}^{+0.08}}$ (preliminary) for the first time. The systematics of the ${\beta_{2^+}}$ and the ${E_{\rm x}(2_1^+)}$ in the Z = 8 isotopes shows the N = 16 spherical shell closure in 24O. 相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate the possibility of retrieving the spatial coherence of an infrared source by using an up-conversion interferometer. Sum-frequency generation in Ti-diffused periodically poled lithium-niobate waveguides in both arms of the interferometer is used to convert the infrared into the visible domain. The fringe contrast of the interference pattern in the visible domain permits us to resolve the spatial separation of two uncorrelated pointlike infrared sources, which simulate a binary star. The validity of these measurements is confirmed through a simultaneous comparison with a reference interferometer working in the infrared domain. 相似文献

We initiates the study of property testing in arbitrary planar graphs. We prove that bipartiteness can be tested in constant time, improving on the previous bound of for graphs on n vertices. The constant‐time testability was only known for planar graphs with bounded degree. Our algorithm is based on random walks. Since planar graphs have good separators, that is, bad expansion, our analysis diverges from standard techniques that involve the fast convergence of random walks on expanders. We reduce the problem to the task of detecting an odd‐parity cycle in a multigraph induced by constant‐length cycles. We iteratively reduce the length of cycles while preserving the detection probability, until the multigraph collapses to a collection of easily discoverable self‐loops. Our approach extends to arbitrary minor‐free graphs. We also believe that our techniques will find applications to testing other properties in arbitrary minor‐free graphs. 相似文献
