In an extensive search for bioactive compounds from plant sources, the quantitative and qualitative characterisation of the compounds present in Cynoglossum cheirifolium extracts was studied. Total phenolic and flavonoid contents were determined by spectrophotometric techniques. In vitro antioxidant and radical scavenging profiling was determined through DPPH? scavenging activity and Ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP). Our study showed that leaves produce more phenolic compounds, followed by flowering aerial part. The butanolic fraction obtained from leaves extract exhibited the highest total phenolics (78.65 ± 3.58 mg GAE/g DW) and flavonoids (22.15 ± 4.66 mg CE/g DW). In contrast, this fraction displayed the highest DPPH? scavenging ability with IC50 values of 0.06 ± 0.003 mg/mL. The RP-HPLC-PDA analysis of phenolic compounds from leaves of C. cheirifolium lets to identify: rosmarinic acid, ferulic acid, caffeic acid, p-coumaric acid, syringic acid, sinapic acid and rutin. The obtained results indicate that this plant represent a valuable source of natural antioxidants.  相似文献

The mixed spin-1 and spin- \frac52\frac{5}{2} ferromagnetic Ising model with bilinear (J) and biquadratic (K) nearest-neighbor exchange interactions and a single-ion potential or crystal-field interaction (D) is studied on the Bethe lattice by means of exact recursion equations. First, the phase diagram of the system at zero temperature is obtained in the (D/Jq, K/Jq) plane, where q denotes the coordination number of the lattice. Second, the sublattice magnetizations as functions of the temperature, the crystal-field and the biquadratic interaction strengths are thoroughly investigated. For q = 3, the resulting phase diagrams show first and second order phase transitions as well as compensation points where the net magnetization of the whole lattice should vanish in the antiferromagnetic version of the model. One interesting feature of the model concerns the presence of tricritical points. Our calculations show that at non-zero temperature, none of the sublattice can order separately. However, under an external magnetic field, some interesting phase diagrams with partially ordered phases arise.  相似文献

We derive a mean-field expression for the effective diffusion coefficient of a probe molecule in a two-phase medium consisting of a hydrogel with large gel-free solvent inclusions, in terms of the homogeneous diffusion coefficients in the gel and in the solvent. Upon comparing with exact numerical lattice calculations, we find that our expression provides a remarkably accurate prediction for the effective diffusion coefficient, over a wide range of gel concentration and relative volume fraction of the two phases. Moreover, we extend our model to handle spatial variations of viscosity, thereby allowing us to treat cases where the solvent viscosity itself is inhomogeneous. This work provides robust grounds for the modeling and design of multiphase systems for specific applications, e.g., hydrogels as novel food agents or efficient drug-delivery platforms.  相似文献

A two dimensional antiferromagnetic spin-1 Ising model with negative next- nearest neighbour interaction (J 2 <0) and under an external magnetic field is investigated by two methods: The mean-field theory and Finite-Size-Scaling based on transfer matrix (TMFSS) calculations. The ground state diagrams exhibit several new phases including frustrated ones. At finite temperature we obtain by these two methods quite rich phase diagrams, with several multicritical points. While Mean field approximation yields phase diagrams which are sometimes even qualitatively incorrect, accurate results are obtained from transfer matrix finite size scaling calculations. For a certain range of interaction parameters, the model is shown to violate the ordinary universality hypothesis. Received: 3 November 1997 / Revised: 31 March 1998 / Accepted: 7 April 1998  相似文献

The multicritical behaviour of the spin- Ising model on the square lattice with nearest-neighbour antiferromagnetic exchange interaction (J<0), a crystal-field interaction (D) and an external magnetic field (H) is studied within mean field approximation (M.F.A.). The phase diagram exhibits a rich variety of behaviour: second order, first order and critical points of different order.  相似文献

Although emulsion pumping is a subject of growing interest, a detailed analysis of the fluid dynamic phenomena occurring inside these machines is still lacking. Several computational investigations have been conducted to study centrifugal pumps carrying emulsion by analyzing their overall performance, but no studies involved the rheological behavior of such fluids. The purpose of this study is to perform a computational analysis of the performance and flow characteristics of a centrifugal pump with volute handling emulsions and oil–water mixtures at different water cuts modeled as a shear-thinning non-Newtonian fluid. The studied pump consists of a five-bladed backward curved impeller and a volute and has a specific speed of 32 (metric units). The rheological properties of the mixtures studied were measured experimentally under a shear rate ranging from 1 s−1 to 3000 s−1 and were fitted to conventional Cross and Carreau effective viscosity models. Numerical results showed the flow topology in the pump is directly related to the viscosity plateau of the pseudoplastic behavior of emulsions. The viscosity plateau governs pump performance by influencing the loss mechanisms that occur within the pump. The larger the ν, the less recirculation loss the fluid experiences, and conversely, the smaller the value of ν0, the less friction loss the fluid experiences.  相似文献

In the present paper,we reported for the first time, the identification of the phenolic compounds in butanolic fraction obtained from the leaf part of Teucrium pseudo-Scorodonia Desf. collected from Algeria using RP-HPLC-PDA (Reversed Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography/Photo Diode Array) technique. Several standards were used for this purpose. The analysis led to the identification of six phenolic acids (ferulic, sinapic, rosmarinic, syringique, caffeic, p-coumaric acids) and one flavonoid (rutin), the last one, has interesting pharmacological properties.  相似文献

We have studied by means of Monte-Carlo simulation and exact finite-size analysis, the spin-1 Blume Capel model with Glauber and Kawasaki dynamics. The Kawasaki spin-exchange process transfers energy into the system from an external source. Some phase diagrams of the model are presented. For some parameter values, the system displays a kind of self-organization phenomenon within the disordered phase. Received 15 February 2000  相似文献

By using a mean-field approximation (MFA) and Monte-Carlo (MC) simulations, we have studied the effect on the phase diagrams of mixed spins ( and S =1) in the Ashkin-Teller model (ATM) on a hypercubic lattice. By varying the strength describing the four spin interaction and the single ion potential, we have obtained by these two methods quite rich phase diagrams with several multicritical points. This model exhibits a new partially ordered phase which does not exist neither in the spin-1/2 ATM nor in the spin-1 ATM. While MFA yields phase diagrams which are sometimes qualitatively incorrect, accurate results are obtained from MC simulations. From the critical exponents which have been calculated using finite-size scaling ideas, we have shown that all phase transitions are Ising-like except for the paramagnetic-Baxter critical surface on which the critical exponents vary continuously, by varying only the strength of the coupling interaction independently of the value of the single ion potential. An open ferromagnetic Ashkin-Teller model with spin variables 0, ±1 is studied by standard Monte Carlo simulations on a square lattice in the presence of competing Glauber and Kawasaki dynamics. The Kawasaki dynamics simulates spin-exchange processes that continuously flow energy into the system from an external source. Our calculations reveal the presence, in the model, of tricritical points where first order and second order transition lines meet. Beyond that, several self-organized phases are detected when Kawasaki dynamics become dominant. Phase diagrams that comprise phase boundaries and stationary states have been determined in the model parameters’ space. In the case where spin-phonon interactions are incorporated in the model Hamiltonian, numerical results indicate that the paramagnetic phase is stabilized and almost all of the self-organized phases are destroyed.  相似文献
