Electronic structure of adducts of Eu(III) <Emphasis Type="Italic">TRIS</Emphasis>-β—diketonates with phenanthroline: photoelectron and theoretical studies

By UPS spectroscopy of vapor, XPS spectroscopy of the condensed phase, and quantum chemical methods the adducts of tris-β-diketonates Eu(асас)₃Phen and Eu(hfас)₃Phen are studied. The electronic structure and features of the nature of chemical bonds in the adducts are established. The geometric structure of the studied compounds in the gas phase is determined. A procedure is developed that helps to assign the bands in gas-phase HeI photoelectron spectra and also in the valence band of the XPS spectra. Quantum chemical calculations (DFT) make it possible to find the regular changes in the electronic structure of the chelate complexes depending on ligand fluorination, to study the effect of a 1,10-phenanthroline molecule on the electronic structure of the chelate rings, and also to analyze the electronic effects caused by trifluoromethyl substitution for methyl groups in the ligand.     

Complexing Properties of Organophosphorus Analogs of Nitrilotriacetic Acid: Aminotris(<Emphasis Type="Italic">O</Emphasis>-alkyl methylenephosphonic Acids)

A series of tribasic aminotris(O-alkyl methylenephosphonic acids), the closest organophosphorus analogs of nitrilotriacetic acid, a widely known complexone, were synthesized. The acid?base properties of the synthesized acids were studied, and the stability constants of their 1: 1 complexes with two-charged cations of alkaline-earth and transition metals were determined.

Transverse Lie jets and holomorphic geometric objects on transverse bundles

Two holomorphic fields of geometric objects on a transverse Weil bundle are called equivalent if there exists a holomorphic diffeomorphism of this bundle onto itself which induces the identity transformation of the base manifold and maps one of these fields into the other. In terms of transverse Lie jets, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for a holomorphic field of geometric objects on a transverse Weil bundle to be equivalent to the prolongation of a field of foliated geometric objects given on the base manifold. As an example, we consider a holomorphic linear connection on a transverse bundle.
