A differentially pumped rare gas discharge lamp is described which, when used with a curved grating monochromator, yields sufficiently high intensities so that even the weaker Ne(II) discharge lines can be used in angle-resolved photoemission experiments employing an electron velocity analyzer with single-channel detection. 相似文献

By use of the loss spectra following the photoemission from the core levels of Zn diluted into Ni, the primary and inelastic electron contributions to the XPS spectra of Ni have been determined for the first time. The deduced primary photoelectron spectra of the 3d and 2p levels of Ni are very similar and can be described by the recent final state calculation of Kotani and Toyozawa. 相似文献

The propagation of elastic waves in an arbitrary direction through a hexagonal piezoelectric crystal is investigated. Orientational relations are obtained in analytic form for the effective elastic moduli and the piezoelectric and dielectric constants, and also for the basic parameters of the elastic waves: the phase velocity, electromechanical coefficient, and the divergence between the displacement vector and the energy flux. Small angle X-ray scattering measurements show no evidence for the presence of voids in chalcogenide glasses, in contrast to the situation found in deposited films of Ge and Si. This result and the observation of a diffraction peak near are found to be consistent with the existence of a layer structure in glassy As2S3 and As2Se3. 相似文献

Angle resolved photoemission spectra taken from a Bi(0001) surface for hv = 16.9 and 21.2 eV exhibit (1) broad features which appear to be associated with one dimensional density of states, rather than band like features, and (2) a weak dependence upon the direction of incident light These effects can be explained by a large number of nondegenerate final state bands available for optical emission and by a uniform mixing of atomic orbitals in the initial states. 相似文献

Angle resolved photoelectron spectra from the Cu(111) surface obtained with polarized light show that features originating from the s orbital bands of the bulk are much more sensitive to oxidation than features originating from d-like bands. We conclude that sensitivity of a peak to oxidation alone cannot be taken as valid evidence for the existence of surface states. 相似文献

DANSSino is a reduced pilot version of a solid-state detector of reactor antineutrinos (to be created within the DANSS project and installed under the industrial 3 GWth reactor of the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant—KNPP). Numerous tests performed at a distance of 11 m from the reactor core demonstrate operability of the chosen design and reveal the main sources of the background. In spite of its small size (20 × 20 × 100 cm3), the pilot detector turned out to be quite sensitive to reactor antineutrinos, detecting about 70 IBD events per day with the signal-to-background ratio about unity. 相似文献

The result of the neutrino magnetic moment (NMM) measurement at the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) with GEMMA spectrometer is presented. The antineutrino-electron scattering is investigated. A high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector with a mass of 1.5 kg placed at a distance of 13.9 m from the 3 GWth reactor core is exposed to the antineutrino flux of 2.7 × 1013 cm?2s?1. The recoil electron spectra taken in 18134 and 4487 h for the reactor ON and OFF periods are compared. The upper limit for the NMM μν < 2.9 × 10?11 μB at 90% C.L. is derived from the data processing. 相似文献
