The francium isotopes200–202Fr were produced in the reaction35Cl+170Yb using bombarding energies of 4.9–5.3 MeV/nucleon. Fusion products were separated in-flight from the primary beam using a gas-filled recoil separator. An alpha line with the alpha particle energy and half-life of (7468±9) keV and (19 −6 +13 ) ms, respectively, was assigned to200Fr. Previously reported decay properties of201,202Fr were confirmed. The concept that the first excited 0+ states in N = 90 nuclei are not a b \beta -vibration but a second vacuum formed by the combination of the quadrupole pairing force and the low density of oblate orbitals near the Fermi surface is supported by the blocking of this collective mode in 154Gd from coupling to the [505]11/2- single-particle quasi-neutron orbital in 155Gd . The coupling of this orbital to the 2+ g \gamma -vibration in 154Gd is observed since this coupling is not Pauli-blocked.  相似文献

A series of new strongly coupled high-K, multi-quasiparticle structures have been observed in the light erbium transitional nuclei, 159Er and 160Er. The interpretation of these bands is discussed within the framework of the cranked shell model. These sequences, when taken together with the existing quasiparticle excitations, form a near complete set of low-lying, multi-quasiparticle structures on which a coherent series of aligned angular momentum, band crossing and blocking arguments can be based. The measured B(M1)/B(E2) ratios are compared with geometrical calculations to test the proposed configuration assignments. Received: 19 November 1997  相似文献

155Ho and 157Ho have been populated in the reactions 141Pr(18O,4n) and 146Nd(15N, 4n) at 85 and 74 MeV, respectively. In both nuclei bands built on the 72?[523] configuration were established to spin values considerably above the first backbend. A signature dependence in the excitation energies as well as in the ratio of M1 to E2 transition rates is observed below, but not above, the backbend in both nuclei. In 157Ho lifetimes were measured with the recoil-distance method. The ΔI = 2; E2 transition probabilities obtained show very little variation with either signature or spin and no irregularity at the backbend. The signature dependence and strong rise in the ratio B(M1)/B(E2) observed at the backbend in 157Ho therefore must be caused by the B(M1) values. A signature dependence in the B(E2, II ?1)/B(E2, II ?2) ratios also found in 157Ho below the backbend is mainly the result of signature dependence in the ΔI = 1 ; E2 transition rates. Qualitatively, most of the features observed can be explained by nonaxial deformations, which change from large negative to slightly positive values of γ at the backbend.  相似文献

We have examined the temperture dependence of the efg for GdGd above the Curie point. Using anI =10+ isomer in144Gd as a probe nucleus, we find a weakT 3/2 dependence withB=(1.5±0.4) 10–5 K–3/2. The absolute value of the efg at 332 K was measured by Coulomb excitation of 2+ states in156, 158, 160Gd, yielding |eq(332 K)|=(3.43±0.14) 1017 V/cm2. A possible small deviation from theT 3/2 temperature dependence of the efg for ferromagnetic Gd is discussed.  相似文献
