Crosslinked poly(ethylene oxide) containing siloxanes fabricated through thiol‐ene photochemistry

Homogenous amphiphilic crosslinked polymer films comprising of poly(ethylene oxide) and polysiloxane were synthesized utilizing thiol‐ene “ click ” photochemistry. A systematic variation in polymer composition was Carried out to obtain high quality films with varied amount of siloxane and poly(ethylene oxide). These films showed improved gas separation performance with high gas permeabilities with good CO₂/N₂ selectivity. Furthermore, the resulting films were also tested for its biocompatibility, as a carrier media which allow human adult mesenchymal stem cells to retain their capacity for osteoblastic differentiation after transplantation. The obtained crosslinked films were characterized using differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, FTIR, Raman‐IR , and small angle X‐ray scattering. The synthesis ease and commercial availability of the starting materials suggests that these new crosslinked polymer networks could find applications in wide range of applications. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 3,3,6,6-四甲基-9-邻氯苯基-1,8-二氧代-3,4,5,6,7,9-六氧化氧杂蒽的合成和晶体结构

标题化合物C23H25对O3Cl是由邻氯苯甲醛与5，5-二甲基1，3-环己二酮在N，N-二甲基甲酸腹中反应而得。结构通过单晶X-射线衍射法确定，其晶体属于单科晶系，空间群=1632。晶体结构用直接法解出，使用全矩阵最小二乘法对原子参数进行修正，最后的偏离因子为R=0．054，Rw一0．063。在晶体结构中，吡喃环与苯环之间的两面角为92．43°。     

Fermi and Coulomb correlations in the 21 S state of the helium isoelectronic sequence

The Fermi and Coulomb holes of the 2¹ S state of the helium isoelectronic sequence are investigated. Several interesting differences between the results obtained and those which might be expected on the basis of the corresponding 2³ S state are pointed out and discussed.     

Structure and properties of the ion pair charge-transfer complex of octacyanotungstate(IV) with the 2,2′-bipyridinium dication

The X-ray crystal structure of (bpyH2)2[W(CN)8]·4H2 O (bpyH2=2,2-bipyridinium) is described. The [W(CN)8]4– anion has an approximately square antiprismatic (D4d) conformation, seemingly imposed by strong anion–water–cation hydrogen-bonding interactions. Bond distances in the anion are: WC 2.150(5), 2.163(5); CN 1.128(6), 1.145(6)Å and the angles WCN are 177.6(5), 178.3(5)°. The dihydrate and the anhydrous salt are both intensely black solids, exhibiting ion-pair charge-transfer interaction between cation and anion. E.s.r. spectra indicate that 30% of the tungsten is present as WV in the solid state, but that in solution only the WIV complex is present. The electron withdrawing effect of the cation is discussed and compared with that in a series of salts with different bipyridinium cations.     

Synthesis of novel tetracyclic chromenes through carbanion chemistry of 4-methyl coumarins

Various substituents were introduced onto the methyl group in 4-methyl coumarins through lithiation, followed by reactions with a wide range of electrophiles. The presence of an alkoxy group on 6′-phenyl ring was found to be pivotal for the success of this reaction. This procedure provided a convenient synthetic pathway to elaborate the methyl group of 4-methylcoumarins. Application of this methodology was showcased with the synthesis of biologically important novel tetracyclic chromene ring systems (n = 1-3).
