Iridaea cordata cultivated in the presence of UVB radiation (UVBR) was studied using transmission electron microscopy. Apical segments were cultivated in 0.97 Wm?2 of UVBR for 40 days, 3 h a day, and compared to a negative control (UVBR absent). UVBR caused modifications, mainly in the cortical cells, including an increased number of cell wall-producing vesicles, in addition to thicker and denser cellular walls, compared to the control. Additionally, cells were observed with an irregular contour and without defined organelles. The increase of cell-wall thickness could be interpreted as an acclimation to UVBR, which could lead to protection from this radiation. 相似文献

A variational method for the self-consistent solution of the nuclear many body problem with the inclusion of correlations is formulated. The trial function in this multiconfiguration-Hartree-Fock (MCHF) theory is a linear combination of unrestricted Slater determinants. The MCHF equations are given and a simple procedure for solving them is outlined. A great advantage of this method is that it also yields the excited states. It is shown that the trial function is stable against particle-hole excitations. Therefore the Slater determinants differ from each other at least by two particle — two hole excitations. This method is applied to the Lipkin model. In the MCHF method the difference to the exact solution is reduced by a factor three to ten compared with the corresponding value in the HF approach. 相似文献

Dynamical thermostatting constitutes a procedure for

practical and from the conceptual points of view.
Here we extend and unify previous partial results,
showing that the dynamical thermostatting approach

family of statistical ensembles of general
dynamical systems with a vanishing
divergence and admitting

The kinetic foundations of Tsallis' nonextensive thermostatistics are investigated through Boltzmann's transport equation approach. Our analysis follows from a nonextensive generalization of the "molecular chaos hypothesis." For q>0, the q-transport equation satisfies an H theorem based on Tsallis entropy. Unphysical behavior in the QR algorithm based least squares determination of the expansion coefficients of the charge density obtained from limited information about the charge form factor occurs when the spread of the singular values in the matrix relating these quantities becomes too large. Setting the smallest singular values equal to zero in the singular value decomposition used in the minimum norm method yields a much more reasonable determination of the charge density. Increasing the size of the basis without increasing the range of the prior information about the charge form factor leads to ambiguities in the determination of the charge density.
