Study of the reactione + e −→K + K − in the energy range1350 \leqq \sqrt s \leqq 2400 MeV

Thee ⁺ e ^?→K ⁺ K ^? cross section has been measured from about 750 events in the energy interval \(1350 \leqq \sqrt s \leqq 2400 MeV\) with the DM2 detector at DCI. TheK ^± form factor |F _F ^±| cannot be explained by the ρ, ω, ? and ρ′(1600). An additional resonant amplitude at 1650 MeV has to be added as suggested by a previous experiment.     

Adsorption of Ethoxylated Alkyl Phenols on Silica Gel from Aqueous Micellar Solutions

Adsorption of ethoxylated nonylphenols (Neonols) from their micellar solutions on coarse-pore KSK silica gel was studied under static conditions. The energy of adsorption interaction between micelles and silica gel surface was determined using the Hill–de Boer isotherm. For the initial parts of the isotherms (from 1 to 6 CMC₁), it was equal to –15.8kT. The study of coadsorption of Neonols with dye methylene blue showed that the micellar adsorption layer is fragmentary and that the amount of the adsorbed surfactant is dependent on the conditions of the adsorption layer formation.     

Fluorescence properties of mixed-ligand europium carboxylates

Mixed-ligand binuclear and mononuclear europium carboxylate complexes with nitrogen-and phosphorus-containing neutral ligands have been studied by luminescence and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The coordination of neutral ligands through the nitrogen donor atom leads to an increase in electron density at the Eu³⁺ atom. In groups of carboxylates of the same type, the coordination of neutral donor ligands leads to an increase in the relative intensity of the ⁵ D ₀-⁷ F ₄ electric dipole transition. Analysis of the luminescence excitation spectra points to the presence of two excitation energy transfer channels for mixed-ligand europium trifluoroacetate and toluate complexes and of one channel for europium cinnamate complexes with neutral ligands.     

Study by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of rice husk and the products of its processing

The rice floral glume (husk) and its processing products were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. We established that the rice husk contained silica in two non-equivalent forms in 1:3 ratio. The predominating form is silicon dioxide, while the minor component contains the silicon bound with the organic component which is stable up to ∼350°C.     

Chemical transformations in sodium chloride aqueous solutions under the action of low-temperature contact glow-discharge plasma

Changes in the composition of aqueous NaCl solutions during the course of their treatment with glow-discharge plasma in a gas-liquid plasma-chemical reactor have been studied. A mathematical model involving the steps of oxidation of water molecules and chloride ions and the steps of reduction of their chemical conversion products has been developed. For the first time, it has been found that the hydrogen peroxide content of the solution monotonically decreases with the concentration of NaCl and a change in chlorite, chlorate, and perchlorate concentrations has the appearance of an undulating curve with a maximum at c(NaCl) = 3 g/L. The predominant accumulation of hypochlorite ions in the solution has been detected only in the case of the plasma treatment of the NaCl solutions with concentrations higher than 5 g/L.     

Measurement of tensor analyzing powers in deuteron photodisintegration

A new accurate measurement of the tensor analyzing powers T20, T21, and T22 in deuteron photodisintegration has been performed. Wide-aperture nonmagnetic detectors allowed broad kinematic coverage in a single set up: E(gamma)=25 to 600 MeV, and theta(p)(cm)=24 degrees to 48 degrees and 70 degrees to 102 degrees . The new data provide a significant improvement over the few existing measurements. The angular dependency of the tensor asymmetries in deuteron photodisintegration is extracted for the first time.
