Iodophosphoryloxylation of carbon-carbon multibonds was attempted. Alkynes and cyclohexene were converted to the corresponding 1,2-iodophosphoryloxylated compounds in moderate to good yields with a trivalent iodine compound/iodine system, while glucal gave mainly the corresponding iodohydrin compound in this system. However, 2-deoxy-2-iodoglycosyl diphenylphosphinates were obtained from the corresponding glycals with a diphenylphosphinic acid/iodine/potassium carbonate system in good yields. Moreover, triethylborane smoothly reduced 2-deoxy-2-iodoglycosyl diphenylphosphinates to 2-deoxyglycosyl diphenylphosphinates in a 1,4-cyclohexadiene solvent.  相似文献

In order to investigate the space environment, a new neutron monitor has been prepared. The sensor consists of scintillation fibers (FIB) and will be on board the exposed facility of the Japanese Experimental module (Kibo) of the International Space Station (ISS). The sensor is one of the instruments which measures the particle and plasma environment around the ISS. The sensor will be used by the cosmonauts who work on the ISS, to help them avoid a strong particle radiation which may arrive soon. We believe that such an alert is necessary for the cosmonauts to prevent unnecessary radiation from the sun. Furthermore, the sensor will be very useful in understanding the particle acceleration mechanism at the solar surface. The design of the Engineering Model (EM) was finished and its properties were investigated. This report discusses these results.  相似文献

We examine the temperature dependence of resistivity in a two-dimensional electron system formed in a silicon-on-insulator quantum well. The device allows us to tune the valley splitting continuously in addition to the electron density. Our data provide a global picture of how the resistivity and its temperature dependence change with valley polarization. At the boundary between valley-polarized and partially polarized regions, we demonstrate that there is an insulating contribution from spin-degenerate electrons occupying the upper valley-subband edge.  相似文献

We derive high-order corrections to a modulation theory for the propagation of internal gravity waves in a density-stratified fluid with coupling to the mean flow. The methodology we use allows for strong modulations of wavenumber and mean flow, extending previous approaches developed for the quasi-monochromatic regime. The wave mean flow modulation equations consist of a system of nonlinear conservation laws that may be hyperbolic, elliptic or of mixed type. We investigate the regularizing properties of the asymptotic correction terms in the case when the system becomes unstable and ill-posed due to a change of type (loss of hyperbolicity). A linear analysis reveals that the regularization by the added correction terms does so by introducing a short-wave cut-off of the unstable wavenumbers. We perform various numerical experiments that confirm the regularizing properties of the correction terms, and show that the growth of unstable modes is tempered by nonlinearity. We also find an excellent agreement between the solution of the corrected modulation system and the modulation variables extracted from the numerical solution of the nonlinear Boussinesq equations.  相似文献

Current therapies for common types of cancer such as renal cell cancer are often ineffective and unspecific, and novel pharmacological targets and approaches are in high demand. Here we show the unexpected possibility for the rapid and selective killing of renal cancer cells through activation of calcium‐permeable nonselective transient receptor potential canonical (TRPC) calcium channels by the sesquiterpene (?)‐englerin A. This compound was found to be a highly efficient, fast‐acting, potent, selective, and direct stimulator of TRPC4 and TRPC5 channels. TRPC4/5 activation through a high‐affinity extracellular (?)‐englerin A binding site may open up novel opportunities for drug discovery aimed at renal cancer.  相似文献

The LHCf experiment will be installed in 2007 on the LHC collider in the forward direction at ±140m from the ATLAS interaction point. The purpose of LHCf is to precisely measure the pion production cross section near zero degrees through the measurement of the photons produced in neutral pion decay. This measurement is crucial for the simulation of the showers induced in the atmosphere by very high energy cosmic rays; the 14 TeV energy available in the center of mass frame corresponds in fact to an equivalent energy of 1017 eV in the laboratory system. The paper focus on the proposed experiment and on the physics results that we expect from it.  相似文献
