We study the thermodynamics of the KS black hole which is an asymptotically flat solution of the HL gravity. In particular, we introduce a cavity to describe the thermodynamics at a finite isothermal surface on general ground and to get a well-defined thermodynamics. We show that there exists a locally stable small black hole which tunnels to the hot flat space below the critical temperature and to the large black hole above the critical temperature. Moreover, it turns out that the remnant decays into the vacuum through a quantum tunneling. 相似文献

We study the one-loop effective potentials of the four-dimensional Lifshitz scalar field theory with the particular anisotropic scaling z=2, and the mass and the coupling constants renormalization are performed whereas the finite counterterm is just needed for the highest order of the coupling because of the mild UV divergence. Finally, we investigate whether the critical temperature for the symmetry breaking can exist or not in this approximation. 相似文献

We find a new black hole in three-dimensional anti-de Sitter space by introducing an anisotropic perfect fluid inspired by
the noncommutative black hole. This is a regular black hole with two horizons. We compare the thermodynamics of this black
hole with that of a non-rotating BTZ black hole. The first-law of thermodynamics is not compatible with the Bekenstein–Hawking
entropy. 相似文献

The brick wall method in calculations of the entropy of black holes can be applied to the FRW cosmology in order to study the statistical entropy. An appropriate cutoff satisfying the covariant entropy bound can be chosen so that the entropy has a definite bound. Among the entropy for each of cosmological eras, the vacuum energy-dominated era turns out to give the maximal entropy which is in fact compatible with assumptions from the brick wall method. 相似文献

We present two-dimensional gauged Lifshitz scalar field theories by considering the duality relation between the source current
and the Noether current. Requiring the duality partially, we obtain a gauged model which recovers the bosonized Schwinger
model for the IR limit. For the exact duality, however, the source current is not conserved, which means that the resulting
theory is anomalous, so that the number of degrees of freedom is increased. The second model is consistently formulated by
adding the Wess–Zumino type action to maintain the gauge invariance. 相似文献
