The effect of combined doping by shallow donor and acceptor impurities on boosting the quantum yield of porous-silicon photoluminescence (PL) in the visible and near IR range was studied using phosphorus and boron ion implantation. Nonuniform doping of samples and subsequent oxidizing annealing were performed before and after porous silicon was formed on silicon single crystals strongly doped by arsenic or boron up to ≈1019 cm?3. The concentration of known Pb centers of nonradiative recombination was controlled by electron paramagnetic resonance. It is shown that there is an optimal joined content of shallow donors and acceptors that provides a maximum PL intensity in the vicinity of the red part of the visible spectrum. According to estimates, the PL quantum yield in the transitional n ++-p + or p ++-n + layer of porous silicon increases by two orders of magnitude as compared to that in porous silicon formed on silicon not subjected to ion irradiation. 相似文献

“Blue” copper-containing proteins are multidomain proteins that utilize a unique redox property of copper ions. Among other blue multicopper oxidases, three-domain oxidases belong to the group of proteins that exhibit a wide variety of compositions in amino acid sequences, functions, and occurrences in organisms. This paper presents a review of the data obtained from X-ray diffraction investigations of the three-dimensional structures of three-domain multicopper oxidases, such as the ascorbate oxidase catalyzing oxidation of ascorbate to dehydroascorbate and its three derivatives; the multicopper oxidase CueO (the laccase homologue); the laccases isolated from the basidiomycetes Coprinus cinereus, Trametes versicolor, Coriolus zonatus, Cerrena maxima, and Rigidoporus lignosus and the ascomycete Melanocarpus albomyces; and the bacterial laccases CotA from the endospore coats of Bacillus subtilis. A comparison of the molecular structures of the laccases of different origins demonstrates that, structurally, these objects are highly conservative. This obviously indicates that the catalytic activity of the enzymes under consideration is characterized by similar mechanisms. 相似文献

The results of investigations of the magnetization, susceptibility, and magnetic-field-induced changes in the entropy of polycrystalline manganite (La0.6Ca0.4)0.9Mn1.1O3 near the magnetic phase transition have been presented. Magnetic measurements have been carried out at temperatures in the range from 210 to 310 K in magnetic fields of up to 9 T. The magnetocaloric effect has been revealed by measuring the magnetic-field dependences of magnetization. The magnitude of the magnetocaloric effect is compared with similar results obtained for other manganites. 相似文献

The luminescence excited by synchrotron radiation in gadolinium gallium garnet single-crystal films grown by liquid-phase epitaxy from lead-and bismuth-containing solution melts on Gd3Ga5O12 substrates is investigated. It is shown that the luminescence intensity in the visible range of the spectrum depends on the type and concentration of impurity ions passing from the solvent into the film. 相似文献
