We present in this paper a study of the structural and photoluminescence (PL) properties of terbium (Tb) doped zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles synthesized by a simple low temperature chemical precipitation method, using zinc acetate and terbium nitrate in an isopropanol medium with diethanolamine (DEA) as the capping agent at 60 ℃. The as-prepared samples were heat treated and the PL of the annealed samples were studied. The prepared nanoparticles were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD). The XRD patterns show the pattern of typical ZnO nanoparticles and correspond with the standard XRD pattern given by JCPDS card No. 36-1451, showing the hexagonal phase structure. The PL intensity was enhanced due to Tb^3+ doping, and it decreased at higher concentrations of Tb^3+ doping after reaching a certain optimum concentration. The PL spectra of Tb^3+ doped samples exhibited blue, bluish green, and green emissions at 460 nm (5^D3 - 7^F3), 484 nm (5^D4 - 7^F6), and 530 nm (5^D4 - 7^F5), respectively, which were more intense than the emissions for the undoped ZnO sample. Based on the results, an energy level schematic diagram was proposed to explain the possible electron transition processes.  相似文献

In this paper, we present some new properties of the Mitra‐Wan forestry model written as a discrete‐time optimal control problem. For this problem, the set of stationary states is characterized. For the optimal long‐run management, we consider the following optimality criteria: average optimality, good control policies, bias optimality, and overtaking optimality. We establish relationships between these criteria and show that the value of average optimal policies is constant and equals the value in the optimal stationary state.  相似文献

We investigate the gas sensing properties of TiO2 thin films prepared by spin coating. The presence of anatase and rutile phases in the sample was confirmed by powder X-Ray diffraction study. The thin film was characterized by FE-SEM and EDAX. The TiO2 thin films were found to have good sensitivity towards ethanol compared to other gases. The sensing studies revealed the ethanol sensing properties of the thin film at room temperature even at lower concentrations. The response and selectivity of the film were also discussed in detail.  相似文献

Based on density functional theory, we perform first-principles investigations to study the optical properties of the O-, F- and H-terminated SiC nanoribbons with armchair edges (ASiCNRs). By irradiating with an external electromagnetic field, we calculate the dielectric function, reflection spectra, energy loss coefficient and the real part of the conductance. It is demonstrated that the optical constants are sensitive to the low-energy range, different terminal atoms do not make much difference in the shape of the curves of the optical constants for the same-width ASiCNR, and the optical constants of wider nanoribbons usually have higher peaks than that of the narrower ones in low energy range. We hope that our study helps in experimental technology of fabricating high-quality SiC-based nanoscale photoelectric device.  相似文献

Double perovskites such as Sr(2)FeMoO(6) are rare examples of materials with half-metallic ground states and a ferrimagnetic T(c) above room temperature. We present a comprehensive theory of the temperature and disorder dependence of their magnetic properties by deriving and validating a new effective spin Hamiltonian for these materials, amenable to large-scale three-dimensional simulations. We show how disorder, ubiquitous in these materials, affects T(c), the magnetization, and the conduction electron polarization. We conclude with a novel proposal to enhance T(c) without sacrificing polarization.  相似文献

White emitting nanocrystalline ZrO2:Eu3+ phosphors were synthesized by a simple precipitation route without using a capping agent. X-ray diffraction (XRD) study of ZrO2 and ZrO2:Eu3+samples revealed the presence of monoclinic and tetragonal phases. The monoclinic phase increases with increase in the annealing temperature while the tetragonal phase increases with increase in the concentration of Eu3+. This can be attributed to the presence of oxygen vacancy evolved when Zr4+ is replaced by Eu3+. Photoluminescence (PL) emission peaks of Eu3+ are observed at 591, 596, 606 and 613 nm on monitoring excitation wavelengths at 250, 286, 394 and 470 nm. The peaks at 591 and 606 nm were found to correlate with the tetragonal phase and those at 596 and 613 nm with the monoclinic phase. Intensities of these peaks are found to change as the crystal structure changes. The lifetime value corresponding to 591 nm peak increases with Eu3+ concentration at a particular heating temperature indicating increase of tetragonal phase with respect to monoclinic phase. The CIE co-ordinates of the doped samples were found to be close to that of white color (0.33, 0.33). The changes in the crystal structure of the doped samples due to doping and annealing did not affect the white color emission.  相似文献
