Bulk and Surface Plane Waves Propagated in Chiroferrite in the Transverse Direction

The propagation of volume plane waves in a gyromagnetic chiral medium (chiroferrite) in the plane transverse to the magnetization direction and the propagation of surface waves in the half-space are investigated when an external magnetic field is applied perpendicularly to the direction of wave propagation along the boundary of the medium.     

Waves in the Faraday Chiral Media. I. Bulk Waves

The propagation of bulk plane waves in the Faraday chiral media (chiroplasma and chiroferrite) at an arbitrary angle to the direction of a constant magnetic field is examined. The frequency dependences of the wave parameters are studied. The conditions of critical propagation regimes are established.     

Model of the Anode Layer of a Magnetron Discharge

The anode layer of the magnetron discharge plasma is considered within the framework of a hydrodynamic approximation with the electron mobility and collision frequency assumed to be constant. A rigorous solution of the system of equations has been obtained. The solutions of this problem known so far have been shown to be particular cases of the one found in this work. The range of applicability of the anode layer model to the calculation of the main parameters of dc magnetron sputtering systems is discussed.     

Waves in the Faraday Chiral Media. II. Surface Waves

The propagation of surface waves directed by a plane boundary of the half-space of the Faraday chiral medium (chiroplasma or chiroferrite) is studied in the Voigt configuration. The frequency dependences of the wave parameters are investigated. Conditions of critical propagation regimes are determined.
