Numerical simulations are done of Langevin dynamics for a uniform-orderparameter, field-swept Landau model,= –|a/2|m 2+|b/4|m 4mh(t) , to study hysteresis effects. The field is swept at a constant rateh(t)=h(0)+ht. The stochastic jump values of the field {hJ from an initially prepared metastable minimumm(0) are recorded, on passage to a global minimum m(). The results are: (a) The mean jump¯h J(h) increases (hysteresis loop widens) with h, confirming a previous theoretical criterion based on rate competition between field-sweep and inverse mean first-passage time (FPT); (b) The broad jump distribution(h J,h) is related to intrinsically large FPT fluctuations ( 22)/ 2 O(1), and can be quantitatively understood. Possible experimental tests of the ideas are indicated.  相似文献

Poly(styrene-co-acrylamide) (PS-AAM) latex was prepared, fractionated by sedimentation under gravity, and characterized by PCS, infrared spectra, secondary and backscattered electron imaging in the scanning electron microscope, and electron spectroscopy imaging in an analytical transmission electron microscope. Three latex fractions were obtained. The lower fraction was opalescent and its particles were the more uniform, concerning size, chemical composition, and topochemical features. This lower fraction was still further fractionated by zonal centrifugation in a density gradient, yielding two fractions with similar macrocrystal-forming abilities but different sizes and chemical compositions. Two vanadium (IV) complexes [VIVO(Haeae-sal)(MeOH)]+ ( 1 ) and [VIVO(Haeae-hyap)(MeOH)]+ ( 2 ) were prepared by reacting [VO(acac)2] with ligands [H2aeae-sal] ( I ) and [H2aeae-hyap] ( II ) respectively. Condensation of 2-(2-aminoethylamino)ethanol with salicylaldehyde and 2-hydroxyacetophenone produces the ligands ( I ) and ( II ) respectively. Both vanadium complexes 1 and 2 are sensitive towards aerial oxygen in solution and rapidly convert into vanadium(V) dioxido species. Vanadium(V) dioxido species crystalizes as the dimeric form in the solid-state. Single-crystal XRD analysis suggests octahedral geometry around each vanadium center in the solid-state. To access the benefits of heterogeneous catalysis, vanadium(V) dioxido complexes were anchored into the polymeric chain of chloromethylated polystyrene. All the synthesized neat and supported vanadium complexes have been studied by a number of techniques to confirm their structural and functional properties. Bromoperoxidase activity of the synthesized vanadium(V) dioxido complexes 3 and 4 was examined by carrying out oxidative bromination of salicylaldehyde and oxidation of thioanisole. In the presence of hydrogen peroxide, 3 shows 94.4% conversion ( TOF value of 2.739 × 102 h−1) and 4 exhibits 79.0% conversion (TOF value of 2.403 × 102 h−1) for the oxidative bromination of salicylaldehyde where 5-bromosalicylaldehyde appears as the major product. Catalysts 3 and 4 also efficiently catalyze the oxidation of thioanisole in the presence of hydrogen peroxide where sulfoxide is observed as the major product. Covalent attachment of neat catalysts 3 and 4 into the polymer chain enhances substrate conversion (%) and their catalytic efficiency increases many folds, both in the oxidative bromination and oxidation of thioether. Polymer supported catalysts 5 displayed 98.8% conversion with a TOF value of 1.127 × 104 h−1 whereas catalyst 6 showed 95.7% conversion with a TOF value of 4.675 × 103 h−1 for the oxidative bromination of salicylaldehyde. These TOF values are the highest among the supported vanadium catalysts available in the literature for the oxidative bromination of salicylaldehyde.  相似文献

We report for the first time sinapic acid (SA) sensing based on nanocomposite comprising electrochemically tuned gold nanoparticles (EAuNPs) and solvothermally reduced graphene oxide (rGO). The synthesized EAuNPs, rGO, and EAuNPs‐rGO nanocomposite were characterized using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), particle size analysis, and Raman spectroscopy. A proof‐of‐concept electrochemical sensor for SA was developed based on synthesized EAuNPs‐rGO nanocomposite, which was characterized by electrochemical techniques such as cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The developed sensor detected SA with a linear dynamic range (LDR) between 20 μM and 200 μM and detection limit (DL) of 33.43 (±0.21) nM (RSD<3.32 %). To show the useful purpose of the sensor probe in clinical applications, SA was detected in human urine samples, which showed the percentage recovery between 82.6 % and 92.8 %. Interferences due to various molecules such as L‐cystine, glycine, alanine, serum albumin, uric acid, citric acid, ascorbic acid, and urea were tested. Long‐term stability of the sensor probe was examined, which was found to be stable up to 6 weeks. The sensor fabricated using EAuNPs‐rGO nanocomposite has many attractive features such as; simplicity, rapidity, and label‐free detection; hence, it could be a method of choice for SA detection in various matrices.  相似文献

This review paper covers the low temperature wet growth of nano-engineered particles of ZnO-based mixed metal oxides, their growth mechanism, and characterization using X-ray diffraction, SEM, TEM and IR, UV–visible, and XPS spectral techniques. Main focus of this article is centered on low temperature semi-wet methods of synthesis that are suitable for large scale production of zinc oxide-based systems mixed with iron oxide, copper oxide, nickel oxide and cobalt oxide. These mixed metal oxides have broad industrial applications as catalyst, semiconductors, adsorbents, superconductors, electro-ceramics, and antifungal agents in addition to extensive applications in medicines. This paper discusses the low-cost and environment friendly synthesis of these mixed metal oxides, measurement of properties and applicability of these materials systems.  相似文献

Highly toxic polyallylamine (PA) was reacted with a varying amount of a novel linker, 6‐(N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylguanidinium chloride) hexanoic acid (Tmg‐HA), to prepare a series of tetramethylguanidinium‐PA (Tmg‐PA) polymers, which were used as vectors for gene transfection. The extent of attachment of the linker, Tmg‐HA, to the PA backbone was determined by 2,4,6‐trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid assay. The modified polymers (Tmg‐PAs), when complexed with pDNA, exhibited good condensation ability. The nanoparticles, so formed, were characterized by their size and zeta potential and were subsequently evaluated for their toxicity and transfection ability on various mammalian cells, viz., HeLa, CHO, and HEK 293 cells. Mobility shift assay revealed that on increasing the percent substitution of Tmg‐HA onto PA (from Tmg‐PA1 to Tmg‐PA6), relatively higher amounts of modified polymers were required to retard the mobility of a fixed amount of DNA. Besides, Tmg‐PA polymers provided sufficient protection (ca. 84–88%) to bound DNA against nucleases and one of the formulations, Tmg‐PA2 (ca. 15% substitution) displayed the highest transfection efficiency outcompeting the commercial transfection reagent, Lipofectamine? with minimal cytotoxicity. More impressively, the transfection efficiency increased despite recording a decrease in the buffering capacity of the grafted polymers suggesting that buffering capacity is not the sole parameter in determining the gene delivery efficiency of a vector system. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
