In this third article of the series, a new anisotropic united atoms (AUA) intermolecular potential parameter set has been proposed for the carbon force centers connecting the aromatic rings of polyaromatic hydrocarbons to predict thermodynamic properties using both the Gibbs ensemble and NPT Monte Carlo simulations. The model uses the same parameters as previous AUA models used for the aromatic CH force centers. The optimization procedure is based on the minimization of a dimensionless error criterion incorporating various thermodynamic data of naphthalene at 400 and 550 K. The new model has been evaluated on a series of polyaromatic and naphthenoaromatic hydrocarbons over a wide range of temperatures up to near-critical conditions. Vaporization enthalpy, liquid density, and normal boiling temperature are reproduced with good accuracy. The new potential parameters have also been tested successfully on toluene, 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, styrene, m-xylene, n-hexylbenzene, and n-dodecylbenzene to demonstrate their transferability to alkylbenzenes.  相似文献

A method was developed to determine the biocide pyrithione in natural waters. The method is based on cathodic stripping voltammetry (CSV) in the presence of Triton-X-100, which is used to separate the peak from interfering thiol compounds. Optimised conditions include a Triton-X-100 concentration of 4 ppm and a pH adjusted to 9 using ammonia buffer. The adsorption potential for pyrithione was −0.10 V and the peak occurred at −0.2 to −0.3 V. Detection was by differential-pulse CSV. The detection limit in UV-digested seawater was 1.5 nM for a deposition time of 60 s. In principle, this limit of detection could be lowered by extending the adsorption time, but in practice this may not be possible due to interferences by other organic compounds (surfactants and thiol compounds) in natural waters.  相似文献

Nonequilibrium interfacial layers formed by competitive adsorption of beta-lactoglobulin and the nonionic triblock copolymer PEO99-PPO65-PEO99 (F127) to the air-water interface were investigated in order to explain the influence of polymeric surfactants on protein film surface rheology and foam stability. Surface dilatational and shear rheological methods, surface tension measurements, dynamic thin-film measurements, diffusion measurements (from fluorescence recovery after photo bleaching), and determinations of foam stability were used as methods. The high surface viscoelasticity, both the shear and dilatational, of the protein films was significantly reduced by coadsorption of polymeric surfactant. The drainage rate of single thin films, in the presence of beta-lactoglobulin, increased with the amount of added F127, but equilibrium F127 films were found to be thicker than beta-lactoglobulin films, even at low concentration of the polymeric surfactant. It is concluded that the effect of the nonionic triblock copolymer on the interfacial rheology of beta-lactoglobulin layers is similar to that of low molecular weight surfactants. They differ however in that F127 increases the thickness of thin liquid films. In addition, the significant destabilizing effect of low molecular weight surfactants on protein foams is not found in the investigated system. This is explained as due to long-range steric forces starting to stabilize the foam films at low concentrations of F127.  相似文献

The boom in growth of 1,4-disubstituted triazole products, in particular, since the early 2000’s, can be largely attributed to the birth of click chemistry and the discovery of the CuI-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC). Yet the synthesis of relatively simple, albeit important, 1-substituted-1,2,3-triazoles has been surprisingly more challenging. Reported here is a straightforward and scalable click-inspired protocol for the synthesis of 1-substituted-1,2,3-triazoles from organic azides and the bench stable acetylene surrogate ethenesulfonyl fluoride (ESF). The new transformation tolerates a wide selection of substrates and proceeds smoothly under metal-free conditions to give the products in excellent yield. Under controlled acidic conditions, the 1-substituted-1,2,3-triazole products undergo a Michael addition reaction with a second equivalent of ESF to give the unprecedented 1-substituted triazolium sulfonyl fluoride salts.  相似文献

The structure of B8F12 has been shown by gas electron diffraction and computational methods (up to MP2/6-31+G*) to have the same highly asymmetric form observed in crystalline phases. The structure can be regarded as derived from a central B2 group, bridged by two BF2 groups to give a central B4 core that is folded, not planar, and with a very short bond [164.3 pm calculated, 164.2(19) pm experimental] along the fold line. There are also four terminal BF2 groups. One of the other four bonds in the core is consistently 20-30 pm longer than the others. This asymmetry has been attributed to many intra-molecular B...F interactions, particularly those between core boron atoms and fluorines of the terminal BF2 groups. Calculations for the chloro analogue lead to a structure similar to that for B8F12, but with the long core bond extended so that one of the bridging BCl2 groups may now be regarded as terminal. With bromine as the halogen the structure changes again, with one bromine atom taking up a bridging position. With iodine, this process continues further, and there are three bridging iodine atoms. However, in this case this is not the lowest energy structure, and instead a loosely associated dimer of B4I6 is preferred. In all these cases, and particularly with the heavier halogens, there are huge differences between the results obtained with different computational methods.  相似文献

We theoretically examine the creation of a Fermi-degenerate gas of molecules by considering a photoassociation or Feshbach resonance applied to a degenerate Bose-Fermi mixture of atoms. This problem raises interest because, unlike bosons, fermions in general do not behave cooperatively, so that the collective conversion of a degenerate gas atoms into a macroscopic number of diatomic molecules is not to be expected. Nevertheless, we find that the coupled Fermi system displays collective Rabi-like oscillations and a rapid adiabatic passage between atoms and molecules, thereby mimicking Bose-Einstein statistics. Cooperative association of a degenerate mixture of Bose and Fermi gases could therefore serve as a shortcut to a degenerate gas of Fermi molecules.  相似文献
