Zero field positive muon spin rotation method ( +SR) is applied on La2–x Sr x CuO4 around forx=0.12 at which the high-T c superconductivity (SC) is suppressed. The magnetically ordered state of Cu-moments, which is not a spin glass state but an antiferromagnetic like state, appears below 15 K for 0.105x0.120. The magnetic phase boundary is very similar to the one of the La2–x Ba x CuO4 in which the structural transition from the low temperature orthorhombic (LTO) phase to the low temperature tetragonal (LTT) phase is observed aroundx=0.12. The present study suggests that there is no big difference of the electronic state of the CuO2 plane between the La-Ba system and the La-Sr system and that the magnetic ordering of Cu-moments plays an important role for the suppression of the high-T c SC aroundx=0.12 in both of the systems, although the LTO-LTT structural transition has not been observed yet in the La-Sr system.  相似文献

The site diluted finite spin cluster system Rb2CO x Mg1–x F4 (x=0.15, 0.4, 0.5) has been investigated by the +SR technique. Muon spin relaxation was observed in these diluted magnetic systems in a weak longitudinal field of 100 G. By reducing temperature below 100 K, the experimental data show features of slowing down phenomena of the Co electron moments in the finite spin clusters.  相似文献

We report SR measurements of Pr2CuO4– and (Pr2–xCex)CuO4– single crystals in the temperature range 4.2K300K. Two spin reorientation phase transitions were observed, although neutron scattering experiment could not detect these phase transitions. These allow us to conclude that magnetic moments of the Cu atoms order in an antiferromagnetic noncollinear cross like structure including a hidden canting spin arrangement.  相似文献

The relaxation rate of muonium in pure water has been found to be smaller than 0.05 × 106 s?1. With the aid of pulsed muong. μSR and MuSR measurements have been carried out over a longer time range than ever achieved. The results indicate a stability of thermal muonium in water from 3 to 29°C.  相似文献

Muonium has been observed in neopentane and tetramethylsilane by a pulsed MuSR method. The probability of muonium formation was ≈ 20%, and its relaxation times were 8 and 2.6 μs for liquid neopentane and tetramethylsilane, respectively. The rate of muonium relxation has been shown to be correlated well with the dissociation energy of the CH bonding.  相似文献

The electronic structure and the location of muonium centers (Mu) in single-crystalline ZnO were determined for the first time. Two species of Mu centers with extremely small hyperfine parameters have been observed below 40 K. Both Mu centers have an axial-symmetric hyperfine structure along with a <0001> axis, indicating that they are located at the antibonding (AB(O, parallel )) and bond-center (BC( parallel )) sites. It is inferred from their small ionization energy ( approximately 6 and 50 meV) and hyperfine parameters ( approximately 10(-4) times the vacuum value) that these centers behave as shallow donors, strongly suggesting that hydrogen is one of the primary origins of n type conductivity in as-grown ZnO.  相似文献

In order to shed new light on the initial loss of muon spin polarization, or socalled missing fraction, which is commonly observed in non-metallic solids, we have studied muon-induced excitation in various alkali halides by measuring the luminescences associated with the radiative decay of the self-trapped excitons (STE). The result strongly suggests that the spin-exchange interaction between muonium and muon radiolysis products including STE's causes fast muon depolarization in those materials.  相似文献

The total synthesis of mallotusinin, which bears a tetrahydroxydibenzofuranoyl (THDBF) bridge between the 2-oxygen and 4-oxygen of glucose on corilagin with a 3,6-O-(R)-hexahydroxydiphenoyl (HHDP) bridge, is described. The key features of the total synthesis are: 1) improvements of our previously reported method to synthesize corilagin; 2) establishment of the THDBF skeleton via an unusual intramolecular SNAr reaction of an HHDP analogue, and 3) the application of a two-step bislactonization strategy for a HHDP bridge construction into the 2,4-O-THDBF bridge. Oxidative phenol coupling of 1,2,4-orthoacetyl-3,6-di-(4-O-benzylgalloyl)-α-d -glucopyranose and the orthoester cleavage of the coupling product without the pyranose-furanose ring transformation are key reactions for the improved synthesis of corilagin, which enabled the adequate supply of a corilagin precursor that was required to develop the mallotusinin synthesis. These established methods are expected to help develop the synthesis of other ellagitannins with a bridge between the two oxygens of corilagin.  相似文献

Muon spin rotation (SR) is applied to La2–x Ba x CuO4 aroundx=0.12 where the superconductivity (SC) is suppressed remarkably. The magnetic ordering of Cu-moments appears below 35 K in the narrow range ofx where a lattice instability from the low temperature orthorhombic (LTO) to the low-temperature tetragonal (LTT) structure exists. The present study suggests strongly that the magnetic ordering of Cu-moments is an important factor in the suppression of high-T c superconductivity aroundx=0.12 in La2–x Ba x CuO4. Similar results are obtained for the La2–x Sr x CuO4 and La2–xy Sr x Nd y CuO4 systems.  相似文献
