Determination of formic and acetic acids in air by piezoelectric microweighing

The quantitative and kinetic parameters of sorption of formic and acetic acids on thin films of various modifiers of piezoelectric quartz resonator electrodes are determined. Parameters of film formation on the electrodes (application procedure and thickness) are optimized. Methods for joint and separate determination of formic and acetic acids in air by piezoelectric microweighing with single- and double-sensor devices are developed.     

Synthesis and Physicochemical Study of Solid Complexes of Ti(IV), Zr(IV), and Zn(II) with Chrysin

Previously unknown solid complexes of Ti(IV), Zr(IV), and Zn(II) with chrysin were isolated, identified, and studied by thermogravimetric analysis and by UV-Vis, IR, and NMR spectroscopy.     

Effect of the morphology of polyethylene glycol esters on the distribution of C1–C4 carboxylic acids in the gas phase-sorbent system

The effect of the morphology of polymer films on the distribution of volatile C₁–C₄ carboxylic acids in the sorbent-gas system is discussed. The efficiency of sorption of vapors of formic, acetic, propionic, and butyric acids on films of polyethylene glycol esters of various structures formed on the electrodes of a piezoquartz resonator by means of static evaporation of a drop and immersion of the resonator into a sorbent solution is evaluated.

Theoretical analysis of collisional shift and broadening of antiprotonic helium spectral lines

Effect of medium density on shift and broadening of ( ) spectral lines is considered in the framework of binary-collision approximation with an effective ( )–He potential including the long-range attraction and short-range repulsion. Quantum calculations of the scattering phase shifts at reasonable values of the potential parameters allow to explain the main features of the observed density effect on the shape of ( ) spectral lines in low-temperature helium. System of piezosensors for prognostication of the storage life of food products

System of sensors operating on the piezoquartz microweighing principle was employed to forecast the storage life of food products based on milk serum. Signals from the sensors are integrated into an output signal forming a recognizable “visual pattern” of an odor.     

Liquid ester stationary phases for the extraction-chromatographic separation of phenol traces from aqueous solutions

The effects of mixed liquid stationary phases based on tributyl phosphate (TBP) and dinonyl phthalate (DNP) with didecyl sebacate and pentyl acetate additives on the distribution ratios of phenol, the retention, the capacity, the resolving power, and the stability of extraction-chromatographic columns in the preconcentration of phenol from water were examined. Stationary phases based on TBP can be used in the analysis of large-volume samples with phenol concentrations at a level of 1 to 2.5 of MPC. Stationary phases based on DNP were recommended for the analysis of water samples of smaller volume with higher concentrations of phenol.
