The logarithmic decrement and shear modulus of a bulk amorphous Zr52.5Ti5Cu17.9Ni14.6Al10 alloy were studied with an inverse torsion pendulum in the range from room temperature to the crystallization temperature and in the frequency range 5–40 Hz. The activation energy spectra of reversible and irreversible structural relaxation were estimated. The results obtained are discussed in the context of a two-energy-level model.  相似文献

The relaxation contribution of the molecular reorientation in an elastic field of an acoustic wave to the effective shear moduli is calculated in the framework of the phenomenological two-level model of orientational states in the low-temperature phase of solid C60. The polarity of the rotation axis of C60 molecules and the possible existence of orientational domains in the structure of the low-temperature phase are taken into consideration. The estimates obtained are compared with the available experimental data.  相似文献

Effects of interface charging on the surface tension of simple halides of alkali metals are analyzed. The surface tension, computed within the density functional theory in an approximation of the squared density gradient using a parametrized profile and a mean spherical approximation for a local free energy, satisfactorily conforms to experiment.  相似文献

Abstract

The electrical resistivity temperature dependence of S has been studied in the diamond anvil cell (DAC) of the “rounded cone-plane” type. The pressure is about 50 GPa. The experimental data analysis shows the polymerization between 380–410 K. The electrical resistivity temperature dependence is distorted by a number of maxima, some of them being shifted along the temperature axis towards the lower temperature and disappear with increasing transport current.  相似文献

The effect of interstitial atoms in a dumbbell configuration on elastic moduli of single crystal copper has been investigated using molecular dynamics simulation. It has been shown that shear components of the dipole tensor and λ-tensor increase when the concentration of split interstitials exceeds 0.6–0.7%. This is associated with their interaction responsible for a significant change in the distribution of orientations of split interstitials and, hence, for a change in the type of the induced local symmetry breakings of the face-centered cubic structure. It has been found that, in the model of amorphous copper, there are “defects” (elastic dipoles) with properties similar to those of split interstitials in the single crystal. The deviatoric component of their λ-tensor is more than an order of magnitude greater than the dilatation component and is responsible for the decreased value of the shear modulus and thermal effects in noncrystalline metallic materials.  相似文献

A solution to the problem of the mean sound field in liquid and elastic media with spherical particles causing monopole scattering of sound is proposed. The integral equation obtained for the field allows passage to the Helmholtz equation with an effective wave number. The characteristic features of the solution are the absence of radiation loss in the mean field wave and the absence of limitations on the particle concentration. The integral equation is used as the basis for solving the problem of the incidence of a plain sound wave at an arbitrary angle on a plane layer of a medium with particles.  相似文献
