Selective photoconductivity at frequency ω=155 cm− was discovered in PbTe(Ga) narrow-gap semiconductors at liquid-nitrogen temperatures. The corresponding energy is much lower
than all characteristic energies of the electronic spectrum of the semiconductor. The effect is attributed to optical excitation
of a local vibrational mode of an impurity center leading to delocalization of the electrons.

We consider the integral of fractional Brownian motion (IFBM) and its functionals ξ T on the intervals (0,T) and (?T,T) of the following types: the maximum M T , the position of the maximum, the occupation time above zero etc. We show how the asymptotics of P(ξ T <1)=p T ,T→∞, is related to the Hausdorff dimension of Lagrangian regular points for the inviscid Burgers equation with FBM initial velocity. We produce computational evidence in favor of a power asymptotics for p T . The data do not reject the hypothesis that the exponent θ of the power law is related to the similarity parameter H of fractional Brownian motion as follows: θ=?(1?H) for the interval (?T,T) and θ=?H(1?H) for (0,T). We solve the Laplace equation in an exterior infinite spherical domain with nonlinear (quadratic) boundary conditions on the spherical boundary. We linearize the problem and, under the additional assumption that the distinguishing function is spherically symmetric, write the solution by using the formal power series method with recursion of the series coefficients. Applying the Poincaré--Perron theorem, we describe the space of convergent formal power series and calculate its dimension. Estimating the roots of the fourth-degree characteristic polynomial corresponding to the given problem, we also calculate the dimension of the space of functions whose gradient at each point of the sphere is orthogonal to the linear combination of an axially symmetric dipole and a quadrupole. In conclusion, we state several unsolved problems arising in geophysical applications. 相似文献

New carbazole-containing polyphenylquinoxalines combining the electron-transport behavior of quinoxaline with hole-transport and electroluminescent properties of carbazole have been synthesized. The polymers show solubility in organic solvents. Their glass transition temperatures range from 315 to 370°C, and temperatures corresponding to 10% weight loss vary from 510 to 560°C (in air). It has been demonstrated that these polymers exhibit electroluminescent behavior in the 450–750 nm spectral region and offer promise as emitting and electron-hole transport materials for polymeric light-emitting diodes. 相似文献

The free-radical copolymerization of N-vinylcaprolactam and N-vinylimidazole (at an initial comonomer ratio of 85: 15, mol/mol) initiated by a persulfate-tertiary amine redox system in 10% aqueous DMSO at 25 and 65°C (at temperatures below and above the temperature of phase separation in the reaction system, respectively) yielded macromolecular products that were subsequently separated into thermally precipitating and nonprecipitating fractions. Investigations of these fractions by capillary viscometry, static and dynamic laser light scattering, and high-sensitivity DSC showed that macromolecules of both types of copolymers are strongly associated in aqueous solutions. Upon heating of solutions of thermally nonprecipitating fractions, additional aggregation takes place and this phenomenon is accompanied by a decrease in the size of particles without loss in their solubility until at least 70°C is reached. As for the set of properties exhibited in aqueous solutions, the thermally nonprecipitating fraction of the copolymer synthesized at 65°C may be assigned to protein-like macromolecules. 相似文献

Quantitative theory of orientational behavior of rodlike polyelectrolytes in dilute solution is developed. We find that in salt-free solutions many-body Coulomb interactions between macro- and counterions favor nematic ordering. It is shown that the orientationally isotropic phase of the solution becomes unstable toward nematic ordering at polymer concentration smaller than the overlap concentration. Our predictions are consistent with experimental observations for synthetic polyelectrolytes poly(p-phenylene)sulfonates in aqueous solutions. 相似文献

New photochromic phenyl-substituted polyphenylenes containing azobenzene fragments in the backbone have been synthesized by the interaction of diacetylenes with bis(cyclopentadienones) via the Diels-Alder reaction.
