With a germanium detector array (Hyperball), we observed two gamma-ray peaks corresponding to the two transitions (5/2(+)-->1/2(+) and 3/2(+)-->1/2(+)) in the (9)(Lambda)Be hypernucleus which was produced by the 9Be(K-,pi(-)) reaction. The energies of the gamma rays are 3029 +/- 2 +/- 1 keV and 3060 +/- 2 +/- 1 keV. The energy difference was measured to be 31.4(+2.5)(-3.6) keV, which indicates a very small Lambda-spin-dependent spin-orbit force between a Lambda and a nucleon. This is the smallest level splitting by far ever measured in a hypernucleus. 相似文献

An experiment performed with the GAMS-4π spectrometer resulted in observing 235 ± 45 events of the decay η′ → 3π 0. The respective charge-exchange reaction at a momentum of 32.5 GeV/c was used as a source of η′ mesons. The decay branching ratio was found to be Br(η′ → 3π 0) = (1.8 ± 0.4) × 10?3. The slope parameter of the square of the respective matrix element in the linear approximation proved to be β = ?0.59 ± 0.18. 相似文献

The ηη system produced in charge-exchange π ? p interaction at a momentum of 32.5 GeV/c is studied in an experiment performed with the GAMS-4π spectrometer at the 70-GeV accelerator of the Institute for High-Energy Physics (IHEP, Protvino). A partial-wave analysis is performed in the mass range between 1.1 and 3.9 GeV for ?t <0.2 (GeV/c)2, S, D, G, and J waves being taken into account in this analysis. The S wave has a complicated structure, displaying peaks at about 1.5 and 1.7 GeV. These peaks are associated with the f 0(1500) and f 0(1710) mesons. One of the solutions (preferable one) involves the f 0(2200) and f 2(1950) resonances. The mass region above 2.4 GeV is dominated by the G wave. A broad state of mass about 3 GeV and width 0.7 GeV is found in the J wave. The parameters of the resonances in question and their production cross sections are measured. 相似文献

A partial-wave analysis of the ω ωπ0-system produced in the π- p→ωπ0 n reaction at 38 GeV/c beam momentum has been performed. A new 5?- meson state,ρ 5(22350), with a massM=2330±35 MeV and a width Γ=400±100 MeV, is observed. The analysis also confirms the 1?- ρ(2150) meson, a radial-orbital excitation of the ρ(770), observed earlier by the GAMS Collaboration. 相似文献

This paper describes the results of measuring the temperatures of gaseous and liquid reacting media, which was carried out by the thermocouple method with the use of a battery (copper–Constantan–copper) of planar thermocouples, placed in the medium under study. It is shown that convective heat transfer lasting for 0.5–1.5 μs equalizes the temperatures of the “hot” thermocouple junctions and the environment. The relationship between the voltage occurring on the thermobattery during this heating and time was determined using a pulse oscilloscope. The measured maximum voltage was used to determine the temperature of the medium. A series of experiments was carried out on measuring the temperatures of water and emulsion explosive matrix, which were compressed by a shock wave, as well as the detonation products of ammonite with sodium hydrogen carbonate at various mass ratios. The estimates of heat fluxes from the detonation products to the metallic surfaces of the thermobattery contacting with them are obtained. 相似文献

The spin-orbit splitting of Lambda single-particle states in (13)(Lambda)C was measured. The 13C(K-,pi(-))(13)(Lambda)C reaction was used to excite both the 1/2(-) and 3/2(-) states simultaneously, which have predominantly 12C(0(+)) x p(Lambda) configuration. gamma rays from the states to the ground state were measured in coincidence with the pi(-)'s, by which ls splitting was found to be 152+/-54(stat)+/-36(syst) keV. The value is 20-30 times smaller than exhibited by the ls splitting in the nuclear shell model. This value gives us new insight into the YN interaction. 相似文献

An experiment demonstrating the production of double-Lambda hypernuclei in (K(-),K(+)) reactions on (9)Be was carried out at the D6 line in the BNL alternating-gradient synchrotron. The technique was the observation of pions produced in sequential mesonic weak decay, each pion associated with one unit of strangeness change. The results indicate the production of a significant number of the double hypernucleus (4)(double Lambda)H and the twin hypernuclei (4)(Lambda)H and (3)(Lambda)H. The relevant decay chains are discussed and a simple model of the production mechanism is presented. An implication of this experiment is that the existence of an S = -2 dibaryon more than a few MeV below the double Lambda mass is unlikely. 相似文献
