We show that when polystyrene is exposed (for 15–60 sec) to a UV laser light beam (λ = 248 nm), its absorption and luminescent properties change significantly. In the irradiated polymer, optical centers are formed with absorption bands in the 280–460 nm region and fluorescence bands in the 330–520 nm region. Results of investigations into the physical properties of a number of new nonlinear crystals are presented. The parameters of frequency converters manufactured on their basis are compared, and second-harmonic generation of CO2 lasers first excited by frequency conversion in LiInSe2, AgGa1– x InxSe2, AgxGaxGexS2(1 + x), and Hg1–x CdxGa2S4 crystals is investigated. The superiority of HgGa2S4, Hg1–x CdxGa2S4, and AgGa1–x InxSe2 over the well-known crystals has been demonstrated for frequency conversion both within the middle-IR range and from the visible range to the middle-IR range. Advantages of LiInSe2 and AgGa1–x InxSe2 crystals are demonstrated for the direct frequency conversion of femtosecond laser radiation to the middle-IR range compared to the cascade frequency conversion and direct frequency conversion in LiInS2 crystals.  相似文献

The structure forming under controlled crystallization of a bulk Fe72Al5P10Ga2C6B4Si1 amorphous alloy has been studied using differential scanning calorimetry, transmission electron microscopy, and x-ray diffraction. Crystallization of the alloy was established to result in the formation of a nanocrystalline structure consisting of three phases. The domain structure and magnetic properties of amorphous and nanocrystalline samples were investigated using the magnetooptic indicating film technique (MOIF) and a vibrating-sample magnetometer. The coercive force and the saturation magnetization of the amorphous samples were found to be 1 Oe and 130 emu/g, respectively. It was shown that the formation of the nanocrystalline structure entails a dramatic decrease in domain size (down to 1–4 μm) as compared to an amorphous sample (∼1 mm). 1.  Studies of the kinetics of radical polymerization of DAC in aqueous solutions in conditions of deep degrees of conversion of monomer into polymer with a combination of dilatometric, calorimetric, and PMR spectral methods showed that in the conditions selected, poly-merization is accompanied by autoacceleration whose onset corresponds to certain values of the concentration of the polymer formed and is in all probability due to the formation of a fluctuation linkage network of the polymer in the reaction solution.
2.  The quantitative dependence of the values of the characteristic concentrations of the polymer corresponding to the onset of autoacceleration on the degree of polymerization of the polymer formed at the onset of autoacceleration was established.

Supramolecular organization of complexes formed by poly(N-ethyl-4-vinylpyridinium bromide) and sodium dodecylsulfate in aqueous salt solutions was studied as a function of temperature and concentration of the complexes. It was shown that a decrease in temperature and/or concentration of complexes led to their reversible disaggregation into a molecularly dispersed (“unipolymer”) state. The ratio between the components in complex particles remained unchanged in this case. It was first found that phase separation in aqueous solutions of the complexes upon temperature elevation is accompanied by the precipitation of a nonstoichiometric complex.  相似文献
