The Q-switched laser with triangle slab made of Nd:YAG crystal side pumped by 600-W quasi-cw diode laser stack has been designed. The multimode (M2≈2.6) output energy of about 42 mJ was demonstrated in free running mode for110-mJ pump energy. In Q-switch experiments, the KDDP Pockels cell was placed between the slab and rear mirror in plane-plane cavity with output coupler of 84% transmission. The energy of 8 mJ in 2.1-ns pulse duration was obtained for near TEM00 output beam. For passive Q-switching by means of Cr:YAG crystal of 12.6% unsaturated transmission, the energy of 5.1 mJ in 2.5-ns pulse duration was obtained for output beam close to TEM00 mode. 相似文献

We describe an efficient, low-threshold, continuous-wave (CW) and Q-switched operation of a Ho:YAG laser resonantly, single-pass pumped by a 20 W linearly polarized narrow line width Tm: fiber laser at the wavelength of 1,908 nm. At room temperature for an output coupler of 30 % transmission, a maximum continuous-wave output power of 13.3 W for 18.9 W of absorbed pump power was achieved, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 73 %. In a quasi continuous-wave pumping regime, for several output couplers slope efficiencies of almost 82 % were observed. For a Q-switched operation, a Brewster-cut acousto-optic modulator was used. In a CW pumping regime, the pulse repetition frequency (PRF) was changed from 4 to 15 kHz. Under a Q-switched operation, the maximum output power of 12.25 W in relation to 15 kHz PRF was obtained; however, the maximum peak power of almost 250 kW at the PRF of 4 kHz was demonstrated. In the best case, for 4 kHz PRF, pulse energies of 2.18 mJ with a 8.8 ns FWHM pulse width (one of the shortest pulse durations observed in holmium-doped Q-switched lasers) were achieved. The laser operated at the wavelength of 2,090.23 nm with the FWHM line width of 0.95 nm. The beam quality factor of M 2 was measured to be below 1.42 in both X and Y axis. 相似文献

The study describes efficient, acousto-optic Q-switching of Er:YAG laser at the 1645 nm eye-safe wavelength. For longitudinal
pumping at wavelength 1532 nm, linear-polarized 10 W Erbium fiber laser radiation was used. The investigated Er:YAG crystals
were 25 and 40 mm long and their Erbium concentration was 0.20 and 0.25%, respectively. For giant pulse generation, a fused
silica acousto-optic modulator was inserted inside the Er:YAG laser oscillator. For a maximum incident pump power of 7.95
W, pulse energy up to 4.1 mJ was generated with pulse duration 34 ns at 500-Hz repetition rate; the corresponding peak power

We demonstrate MW-level, single resonance optical parametric oscillator, based on KTP Type-II crystal with noncritical phase-matching. The OPO is pumped by electro-optically Q-switched Nd:YAG slab laser providing 55?mJ of pulse energy. At the output, we achieved 28?mJ of signal pulse energy at 1.57?μm with 51% conversion efficiency, corresponding to 1.4?MW of peak power. 相似文献

A scheme of self-adaptive, closed-loop, diode-side-pumped Nd:YAG slab laser was presented. As a result of four-wave mixing of standing waves intersecting at a small angle in a closed-loop cavity, the self-adaptive process of beam cleaning leading to fundamental mode operation despite severe asymmetry of the inversion profile and thermal-optical distortion was achieved. The output beam was extracted from the cavity as the first- order diffraction beam on the dynamic gain gratings created in an active medium. The near-diffraction-limited (parameter M(2)<1.4, divergence of 1 mrad) output beam of 250 mJ energy and the optical slope efficiency of 30% at a repetition rate of up to 25 Hz in a free-running regime were demonstrated. 相似文献
