Measurements of 90°-scattering of weak laser light are used to investigate pulsed domain switching in ferroelectrics. The studies were performed on strontium-barium niobate (SBN) single crystals. A good agreement of the switching parameters estimated from the optical measurements with those obtained by means of conventional electrical methods proves the validity of the optical method for switching studies. Due to the limited scattering volume in all three spatial dimensions, the method facilitates local probing of the switching within the crystal bulk. In particular, local specialities of the domain density can be detected. Furthermore, the excellent time resolution inherent in optical probing techniques allows for a comprehensive study of the dynamics. 相似文献

Studies have been carried out on the perfection of then-AlxGa1–xSb1–yAsy (0.12x0.26) layer grown on GaSb substrates under different conditions of lattice matching. During the relaxation of the mechanical stresses at first a system of tilt dislocations with a density of up to 5 · 105 cm–2 is formed while in thick layers (h 20 m) a network of misfit dislocations parallel to the heteroboundary is formed. The time required to dissolve a weighed amount of GaAs in the melt is shown to be of major importance for obtaining layers of a solid solution that are isoperiodic with the substrate. The entry of arsenic only in the initial portion of the epitaxial layer can reduce the dislocation density in the layer without decreasing the measured value of Aa. Dissolution of a weighed amount of GaAs in a Ga + Sb melt for two hours at T=730–750°C is sufficient to obtain layers of AlxGa1–xSb1–yAsy solid solution that are isoperiodic with the substrate.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 1, pp. 84–89, January, 1988.In conclusion, we thank L. Supramolecular organization of complexes formed by poly(N-ethyl-4-vinylpyridinium bromide) and sodium dodecylsulfate in aqueous salt solutions was studied as a function of temperature and concentration of the complexes. It was shown that a decrease in temperature and/or concentration of complexes led to their reversible disaggregation into a molecularly dispersed (“unipolymer”) state. The ratio between the components in complex particles remained unchanged in this case. It was first found that phase separation in aqueous solutions of the complexes upon temperature elevation is accompanied by the precipitation of a nonstoichiometric complex. 相似文献

Acid and neutral CoII, CuII, NiII, ZnII, FeII, and FeIII maleates, fumarates, and itaconates were obtained and characterized. The methods for their synthesis were optimized, and the valence state and coordination of metals were studied. CoII and FeII hydrogen maleates, CoII maleate, and CoII fumarate were examined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The ligands based on unsaturated dicarboxylic acids can be mono-, bi-, and tetradentate, which results in the formation of acid salts, chain and three-dimensional coordination polymers, whose double bond is not involved in the coordination. The strong antiferromagnetic exchange (μelf=1.41 and 0.34 μB at 290 and 80 K, respectively) was detected in CuII itaconate. Based on the data of Mössbauer spectroscopy, the partial reduction of FeIII to FeII during the synthesis of FeIII maleate was shown to occur: δFe=0.43 and 1.27 mm s?1, ΔE Q=0.57 and 3.13 mm s?1 and Γ=0.37 and 0.28 mm s?1 atT=298 K for FeIII and FeII, respectively. 相似文献

Metastable decomposition of ions generated in matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometers complicates analysis of biological samples that have labile bonds. Recently, several academic laboratories and manufacturers of commercial instruments have designed instruments that introduce a cooling gas into the ion source during the MALDI event and have shown that the resulting vibrational cooling stabilizes these labile bonds. In this study, we compared stabilization and detection of desorbed gangliosides on a commercial orthogonal time-of-flight (oTOF) instrument with results we reported previously that had been obtained on a home-built Fourier transform mass spectrometer. Decoupling of the desorption/ionization from the detection steps resulted in an opportunity for desorbing thin-layer chromatography (TLC)-separated gangliosides directly from a TLC plate without compromising mass spectral accuracy and resolution of the ganglioside analysis, thus coupling TLC and oTOF mass spectrometry. The application of a declustering potential allowed control of the matrix cluster and matrix adduct formation, and, thus, enhanced the detection of the gangliosides. 相似文献

The manganese doping of In1–xGaxAsyP1-y(0 y 1) films grown by liquid-phase epitaxy has been investigated. A study has been made of the influence of the solid-solution composition and of the method of introducing the manganese into the solution melt on the electrical properties of the films, and also on the surface morphology, the optical absorption edge, and the mismatch of the film and substrate lattice constants. It is shown that the hole density in the films decreases with decreasing y. The reasons for this are the decrease in the distribution coefficient of the acceptor manganese (from 0.3 to 0.001), the increase in the degree of compensation of the acceptors with donors (from 0.2 to 0.9), and the increase in the acceptor ionization energy. The composition of the InGaAsP:Mn film and the morphology of its surface depend on the method of preparation of the melt, this being explained by the strong interaction of the manganese atoms with the other components of the liquid phase.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 1, pp. 26–34, January, 1992.We thank T.
