We have studied the algorithm for the automatic chromatic dispersion compensation using bit error rate (BER) and Q-factor optimization for realization of dynamically reconfigurable all-optical network. Chromium catalysts combined with phosphorous‐bridged bisphenoxy ligands were found to be highly active for ethylene polymerization. The most efficient catalyst precursor among them, generated by combining bis[3‐tert‐butyl‐5‐methyl‐2‐hydroxyphenyl](phenyl)phosphine hydrochloride ( 1a ) and CrCl3(THF)3, was characterized. X‐ray analysis of (3‐tert‐butyl‐5‐methyl‐2‐phenoxy)(3‐tert‐butyl‐5‐methyl‐ 2‐hydroxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphine bis(tetrahydrofuran)chromium dichloride ( 6 ), obtained by the reaction of 1a and CrCl3(THF)3 in the presence of NaH, revealed a unique structure in which one phenol moiety of the bisphenol did not coordinate to the chromium center. Complex 6 showed higher activities than those observed in the in situ catalyst system. Polyethylene of various molecular weights was obtained with differing activators. The highest activity (113.5 kg mmol (cat)?1 h?1) was observed when TIBA/TB was used as a cocatalyst. A medium molecular weight polymer with narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw = 128,700, Mw/Mn = 1.8) was obtained using a 6 ‐TIBA/B(C6F5)3 system. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The adsorption behavior of various amino acids on a stainless steel surface was investigated at 30 degrees C and over a pH range of 3-10. Acidic and basic amino acids except histidine adsorbed remarkably at pH 3-4 and 7-10, respectively, and showed Langmuir-type adsorption isotherms. The effects of pH and ionic strength on the adsorption isotherms were investigated to analyze the interactions between amino acids and adsorption sites on the stainless steel. Hydrophobic amino acids and glycine showed only small adsorbed amounts at all pHs tested. For the acidic and basic amino acids, reversibility of the absorption and the influence of the ionic strength on the adsorption behavior were examined. The adsorption isotherms of the derivatives of aspartic acid were also measured in order to examine the contribution of the carboxylic groups of acidic amino acids to the adsorption. Furthermore, a Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopic analysis and semiempirical molecular orbital calculation were carried out to analyze the ionization states and the configuration of the amino acids adsorbed on a stainless steel surface. These investigations suggest that the acidic and basic amino acids adsorb through two electrostatic interactions of two ionized groups in the amino acid with a stainless steel surface. A highly selective and sensitive method of fluorometry is described for determination of the fluoride ion at the parts per billion level via the ion-pair complex formation of the fluoride ion with an expanded prophyrin [2,23-diethyl-8,17-bis(2-ethoxycarbonylethyl)-3,7,12,13,18,22-hexamethylsapphyrin (H3sap)]. The ion-pair complex gives out an enhanced fluorescence intensity at 680 nm on excitation at 450 nm. Since the present method is based on a direct reaction of the fluoride ion with the sappyrin, a 200-fold amount of the aluminum (III) ion [10−4M (M = mol dm−3)] and a 2000-fold amount of the iron(III) ion (10−3M) over the fluoride ion did not interfere with determination of the fluoride ion at concentrations as low as 5 × 10−7M in the presence of 1,2-diaminocyclohexane-N,N,N′,N′-teraacetic acid. The proposed method was applied to determination of the fluoride ion in various water samples (tap water, river water, rain water, underground water, and hot spring water) and satisfactory results were obtained.  相似文献

Polymerization of 1,3-bis(p-vinylphenyl) propane (St-C3-St) was investigated by using radical and anionic initiators. Radical polymerization yielded linear polymer with pendant styryl groups in pertinent conditions without gelation. Anionic polymerization with n-butyllithium and sodium naphthalene produced insoluble polymers that, according to infrared (IR) spectroscopy, had no cyclized units. On the other hand, phenylmagnesium bromide gave soluble polymer in HMPA-benzene mixed solvent. Zero-valent nickel catalyst also gave soluble polymer. The soluble polymers could be analyzed by several spectroscopies, and it was confirmed that those obtained by anionic and coordination polymerization had no [3.3]paracyclophane units in the main chain. From these results it was concluded that cationic propagation could be assumed if the polymer Of St-C3-St contained [3.3]paracyclophane units in the main chain.  相似文献

Acryloyl-type polymer fixing 1-β-carbonylethyl-5-fluorouracil residues through D -glucofuranoses via ester bonds was synthesized by means of polymerization of the corresponding monomer and polymer reaction. In order to provide the water-soluble objective polymer, the copolymerization of the acryloyl-type monomer with acrylamide was carried out. The extent of release of 5-FU residues from the copolymer was investigated in the enzyme or nonenzyme system in vitro. Furthermore, the antitumor activities of the water-insoluble homopolymer and water-soluble copolymer obtained were tested in vivo.  相似文献

FK041 crystallizes as a non-stoichiometric hydrate or as solvated hydrates which were characterized as isomorphic clathrates by powder X-ray diffractometry. Moisture and organic solvent vapor sorption studies, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis revealed that FK041 monohydrate forms a physically stable host crystal, which has lattice channels for guest water and/or organic solvent molecules. The hydration state varies non-stoichiometrically between dihydrate and tetrahydrate depending on the relative humidity and the mol content of the co-existing organic solvent, that is 2-propanol, ethanol, or acetone. These organic solvents are thought to replace a part of originally present water with a mol ratio of 1:3. 2-Propanol exhibited the most stable solvation, indicating that the size and shape of 2-propanol are the most preferable to the lattice channels.  相似文献
