The possibility that the non-adiabatic correction to the scattering length
of a pair of hydrogen atoms interacting via the ground state molecular potential,
X1Σg
+, of H2 could be made by replacing the mass of each nucleus
by a different effective mass is explored.
The Born-Oppenheimer potential with adiabatic,
relativistic and radiative corrections is used in
calculations of the scattering lengths and the mass-dependent shifts of the
rotationless vibrational levels with fixed and varying effective masses.
The shifts are compared with established values and
it is demonstrated that the semi-classical formula for the scattering length
accounts well for the effect of changing the mass.
A perturbing potential that is equivalent to a change in mass is derived
and it is compared to a published local non-adiabatic potential. 相似文献

We present charged-particle multiplicities as a function of pseudorapidity and collision centrality for the 197Au+197Au reaction at square root[s(NN)] = 200 GeV. For the 5% most central events we obtain dN(ch)/deta/(eta = 0) = 625+/-55 and N(ch)/(-4.7< or =eta < or =4.7) = 4630 +/- 370, i.e., 14% and 21% increases, respectively, relative to square root[s(NN)] = 130 GeV collisions. Charged-particle production per pair of participant nucleons is found to increase from peripheral to central collisions around midrapidity. These results constrain current models of particle production at the highest RHIC energy. 相似文献

We present ratios of the numbers of charged antihadrons to hadrons (pions, kaons, and protons) in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s(NN)]=200 GeV as a function of rapidity in the range y=0-3. While the ratios at midrapidity are approaching unity, the K(-)/K(+) and p;/p ratios decrease significantly at forward rapidities. An interpretation of the results within the statistical model indicates a reduction of the baryon chemical potential from mu(B) approximately 130 MeV at y=3 to mu(B) approximately 25 MeV at y=0. 相似文献

The effects of heat-treatment and ultraviolet (UV) light at 325 nm on virgin and hydrogen loaded germanosilicate optical fibers have been investigated by using laser spectroscopy technique. The luminescence band around 650 nm is sensitive to heat treatment. The hydrogen reloading of the hydrogen loaded fibers subsequent to heat treatment showed a new emission band around 570 nm. The irradiated fibers have an emission band around 383 nm which was not detected in hydrogen loaded fibers. 相似文献

A method for the simultaneous determination of selenomethionine (SeMet), selenocysteine (SeCys), and selenite [Se(IV)] in
chicken eggs was developed. A sample preparation protocol including defatting, protein denaturation, and carbamidomethylation
was optimized in order to achieve complete protein digestion and to avoid SeCys losses. Quantification was carried out by
reversed-phase HPLC–inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP MS) after quantitative isolation of the selenium-containing
fraction by size-exclusion liquid chromatography. The detection limits were 0.06, 0.003, and 0.01 μg g−1 (dry weight) for SeCys, Se(IV) and SeMet, respectively, and the precision was 5–10%. The end products of carbamidomethylation
of the different selenium species were identified for the first time by electrospray QTOF MS after custom-designed 2D HPLC
purification. Differences in selenium speciation in egg yolk and white were highlighted, the yolk containing more SeCys and
the white more SeMet. An insight into selenium bioaccessibility in eggs was obtained by digestion with simulated gastric and
gastrointestinal juices and size-exclusion HPLC-ICP MS. 相似文献

Main luminescence of α-quartz crystal doped with germanium results from the luminescence of a self-trapped exciton (STE) near germanium. In as grown Ge-doped α-quartz crystal, the luminescence associated with the twofold coordinated Ge center (GeODC) in amorphous silica glass doped with germanium, was never observed. In this work, we performed experiments to investigate if a GeODC like luminescence could appear after a γ-irradiation of a Ge-doped α-quartz crystal. The answer is positive: under excitation with pulsed light of an ArF laser (193 nm): a new luminescence with two bands — a blue one associated to a time constant of about 100 μs appears and another one with faster decay of ~ 1.5 ns appears in the ultraviolet part of the spectrum under the same excitation. This last emission has similar characteristics as the GeODC luminescence of silica glass. However, clear differences exist between the radiation-induced center associated with this luminescence and the GeODC. The excitation with a KrF laser does not provide emission with a decay time constant of about 100 μs but provides blue luminescence with a faster decay of about 4 μs. The pulses of the ArF laser also excite this component of decay for the blue band. We attribute this emission to various types of γ-ray created centers in radiation damaged areas of the Ge-doped crystal. Under excitation with an F2 excimer laser (157 nm), the luminescence of STE near Ge remains in the irradiated sample. 相似文献

We have investigated the Raman activity of various germanosilicate fibers and their associated preforms. Our data indicate an enhancement in small rings' (3-member rings) concentration in the silica-based matrix of the fibers during the drawing process. The generation of such rings appears compatible with an increase of the sample density and fictive temperature. The data regarding the drawing effects on the fiber stress appear less clear, and it is possible to suggest that in some cases the drawing could lower the tensile stress. Finally we have also provided evidence that changing the drawing conditions within the usual range of application leads to no significant changes of the matrix structure as can be observed using Raman spectroscopy. 相似文献
