Thee + e ?K + K ? cross section has been measured from about 750 events in the energy interval \(1350 \leqq \sqrt s \leqq 2400 MeV\) with the DM2 detector at DCI. TheK ± form factor |F F ±| cannot be explained by the ρ, ω, ? and ρ′(1600). An additional resonant amplitude at 1650 MeV has to be added as suggested by a previous experiment.  相似文献

Abstract— Skin tumors were induced in hairless mutant mice following a single exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UV). Tumors were first noted as early as 7 weeks following irradiation. The UV, emitted by FS20/40T12 fluorescent lamps, was principally in the 280–320 nm spectral region with a peak at 313 nm. Single (skin surface) doses of 3 times 104 J/m2 to 24 times 104 J/m2 were delivered in 3 h or less. The higher doses resulted in more severe acute damage as well as greater tumor yield. Most of the tumors were benign hyperplastic epithelial papillomas; 4 out of 96 tumors examined histologically proved to be squamous cell carcinomas. This appears to be the first report of experimental carcinogenesis due to a single UV exposure, not requiring exogenous chemical promotion.  相似文献

Coherent behavior of spinor Bose-Einstein condensates is studied in the presence of a significant uncondensed (normal) component. Normal-superfluid exchange scattering leads to near-perfect local alignment between the spin fields of the two components. We observe that, through this spin locking, spin-domain formation in the condensate is vastly accelerated as the spin populations in the condensate are entrained by large-amplitude spin waves in the normal component.  相似文献

The radiative decayJ/ψ → γ π+ π? has been studied using the 8.6 millionJ/ψ produced in the DM2 experiment at the DCIe +e? storage rings at Orsay. The π+ π? mass spectrum shows a cleanf 2 (1270) signal, and the possible presence of two other states at thef 2 (1720) andf 4 (2030) masses. For thef 2 (1270), the branching ratio BR(J/ψ →γf)xBR(f→π+ π?) is measured to be (7.50±0.30±1.12)×10?4, and the spin analysis prefers theJ=2 assignment, with helicity parametersx=0.83±0.06 andy=0.01±0.06. The existence of higher mass states is discussed.  相似文献

Abstract— An instrument designed for convenient determination of action spectra for cutaneous photo-responses in man and experimental animals is described. Light from 450 W Xe lamp is dispersed by a concave holographic grating. The spectrum from 244 to 616 nm is projected as a planar strip (2 times 17 cm) intercepted by a grid with 31 ports. The bandwidth at each port is 12 nm and the size of the port increases from about 4 × 4 mm to 6 × 8 mm from the low to high wavelength limits, respectively. Typical fluence rates in quanta m-2 s-1 are 4.0 times 1019 at 298 nm, 16 times 1019 at 394nm and 22 times 1019 at 538 nm. Responses due to delayed erythema in normal skin and to musk ambrette photoallergy and solar urticaria in patients skin have been elicited with this instrument.  相似文献

The steady propagation of a thin smouldering front in a half-spacehas been considered. A suitable coordinate transformation hasallowed the region near the leading edge of the front to beexamined for both a maintained planar surface and with surfacecollapse due to material shrinkage. The change in the oxidizerconcentration for a small increment in the propagation speedfor large time and surface collapse has been determined. Theinfluence of two types of nonlinear diffusion on the shape ofthe smouldering front has been found; other cases can be dealtwith in a similar manner.  相似文献

Abstract— The porphyrinogenic drug, 3,5-diethoxycarbonyl 1,4-dihydrocollidine (DDC) when administered orally to rats evoked large increases in hepatic δ-aminolevulinic acid synthetase (ALAS) activity and hepatic protoporphyrin levels. These increases varied markedly according to light exposure patterns of the animals. DDC-treated animals continuously exposed for one week to fluorescent Blacklight lamps (Westinghouse FS-40) demonstrated a greater than two-fold increase in hepatic ALAS and a greater than threefold increase in liver protoporphyrin levels as compared to DDC-treated animals exposed to ambient light-dark cycling. Furthermore, the skin of porphyric animals continuously exposed to light showed larger increases in porphyrin content as compared to rats exposed to ambient light. These studies indicate that light exposure patterns can profoundly alter the activity of the hepatic heme pathway in the rat and suggest that light exposure could play a role in the production of drug-induced porphyria in man.  相似文献

Abstract— C3H 10T½ cells in culture were prelabelled with [3H]arachidonic acid and exposed to UVB radiation. Almost immediately after irradiation cells released labelled arachidonate metabolites into media in a dose dependent manner. This release was inhibited by removing calcium ions from the system and by the addition of dexamethasone and parabromophenacyl bromide to the system. This suggests that the UVB stimulated release of arachidonic acid from membrane phospholipids is, in part, mediated by a phospholipase A2 enzyme system. Thin layer chromatographic examination of media extracts revealed a dose dependent UVB stimulation of prostaglandin production by cultured cells.  相似文献
