We consider a mathematical model for the formation of internal nanocrystal layers in shear flows of material, which is based on the evolution of the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability. The dispersion relation is derived for the linear interaction between finite layers of ideal and viscous fluids. Analysis of the dispersion equation shows that viscosity and thickness of a moving layer play a decisive role in the formation of nanosize waves.  相似文献

The phenomenon of temperature-induced itinerant electron metamagnetism in a zero external field is of the same nature as the widely investigated metamagnetic transitions induced by magnetic fields (external or internal). Recently, temperature-induced itinerant metamagnetism was discovered in the rareearth intermetallic RCo3 compounds. Systematic investigations of the RCo3 series made it possible to determine many specific features of this new phenomenon and to formulate criteria to reveal such transitions in other magnetic materials as well. This paper presents a brief review of the existing works and original results on temperature-induced itinerant-electron metamagnetism in substituted RCo3 compounds.  相似文献

The reflection and magnetic reflection spectra, magnetic resistance, electrical properties, and equatorial Kerr effect in La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 crystals have been complexly investigated. The measurements have been performed in wide temperature and spectral ranges in magnetic fields up to 3.5 kOe. It has been found that magnetic reflection is a high-frequency response in the infrared spectral range to the colossal magnetore-sistance near the Curie temperature. Correlation between the field and temperature dependences of the magnetic reflection and colossal magnetoresistance has been revealed. The previously developed theory of the magnetorefractive effect for metallic systems makes it possible to explain the experimental data at the qualitative level. Both demerits of the theory of the magnetorefractive effect in application to the magnets and possible additional mechanisms responsible for the magnetic reflection are discussed.  相似文献

The structure and electronic absorption spectra of a model green fluorescent protein chromophore were studied in the neutral, cationic, and anionic forms in the isolated state. The energies of S 0-S 1 vertical transitions were calculated using a new method based on a modified multiconfiguration quasi-degenerate perturbation theory (aug-MCQDPT2). This method was used to obtain quantitative estimates of S 0-S 1 vertical transition energies for chromophores in the isolated state, 2.54, 3.12, and 3.11 eV (the experimental values were 2.59, 3.05, and 2.99 eV) for the anionic, cationic, and neutral forms, respectively.  相似文献
