Role of the microstructure on the transport properties of Y-doped zirconia and Gd-doped ceria 总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
Transmission electron microscopy characterizations and XPS analyses have allowed us to show the influence of the microstructure
and nanochemistry on the transport properties of Y2O3-(9 mol%)-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) and Gd2O3 (10 mol%)-doped ceria (GDC). The grain boundary electrical conductivity (σgb) and oxygen diffusion coefficient (Do) of conventional YSZ ceramics increase with the grain size, while an opposite behavior was found for GDC samples. This difference
was attributed to glassy precipitates present at YSZ grain boundaries. Furthermore, it was shown that kinetic demixing processes
take place during cooling, at the end of sintering. This causes important changes in the cationic species distribution at
interfaces and plays an important role on the transport properties of these two materials.

Abstract— Murine cytomegalovirus, a herpes virus, was used as a model virus to investigate the mechanism of the anti-viral action of phenylheptatriyne in long wave ultraviolet light. The genome and proteins of the inactivated virus penetrated the nuclei of susceptible cells normally. Furthermore, the viral genome did not contain extra single strand breaks or cross-links. However, cells infected with the treated virus did not synthesize late viral proteins, as determined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. nor did they synthesize late viral RNA and viral DNA according to nucleic acid hybridization tests. Pyridoxol, protected by acetylation of the hydroxyl groups, has been converted to its N-oxide which upon reaction with perfluoroacetie anhydride yields a 2-nor-2-hydroxymethylpyridoxol derivative as an intermediate. This compound undergoes acyl migration from the 3-position. Protection of the pyridoxol hydroxyls by benzylalion followed by the same treatment yields the unrearranged α2-hydroxy derivative. Reaction of Ph3GeLi with [Et4N][HFe3(CO)11] affords the new carbonylferrate salt [Et4N][Ph3GeFe(CO)4] and the same reaction provides an alternative route to the known silicon and tin analogs. The synthesis of the novel boron-containing nucleobase 2-benzyl-1,4-dihydro-1-hydroxythieno[3,2-c]-[1,5,2]diazaborin-3(2H)-one ( 8 ), a thieno-fused 4-borauracil, is described. Compound 8 was prepared in three steps starting from 2-thiophenecarbonyl chloride ( 4 ).
