Molar extinction coefficients of some carbohydrates viz. l-arabinose (C5H10O5), d-glucose (C6H12O6), d-mannose (C6H12O6), d-galactose (C6H12O6), d(-) fructose (C6H12O6) and maltose (C12H24O12) in aqueous solutions have been determined at 81, 356, 511, 662, 1173 and 1332 keV by gamma ray transmission method in a narrow beam good geometry set-up. These coefficients have been found to depend upon the photon energy following a 4-parameter polynomial. These extinction coefficients for different sugars having the same molecular formula have same values varying within experimental uncertainty. Within concentration ranges studied, Beer-Lambert law is obeyed very well.  相似文献

In contrast to the terminal phosphinidene complex PhPW(CO)(5) (2), which adds to [5]metacyclophane (1) in a 1,4-fashion, dichlorocarbene preferentially adds in a 1,2-fashion to the formal "anti-Bredt" type double bond of the aromatic ring of 1 to afford the norcaradiene 11b, which immediately rearranges to the bridged cycloheptatriene 12b and further by a [1,5] sigmatropic chlorine migration to the isomeric 13b as the first observable product. More slowly, the latter isomerizes via a dissociative mechanism to give 15b. A computational study supports the notion that the [1,5] chlorine migration in the rearrangement 12b --> 13b, for which an activation barrier of 70.2 kJ mol(-)(1) was calculated, is essentially concerted with minor charge separation. In contrast, the analogous [1,5] chlorine migration in the flat model compound 7,7-dichlorocycloheptatriene (12a) displays features of a dissociative pathway.  相似文献

The mechanical response of 15 single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) ropes under tensile load was measured. For 8 of these ropes strain data were obtained and they broke at strain values of 5.3% or lower. The force-strain data are well fit by a model that assumes the load is carried by the SWCNTs on the perimeter of each rope. This model provides an average breaking strength of SWCNTs on the perimeter of each rope; the 15 values range from 13 to 52 GPa (mean 30 GPa). Based on the same model the 8 average Young's modulus values determined range from 320 to 1470 GPa (mean 1002 GPa).  相似文献

Constant energy synchronous luminescence spectrometry (CESLS) is applied to environmental analysis involving gasoline and crude oil samples containing polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Sample identification at low temperature (77 °K) with quartz tubes and room temperature on filter paper is performed. The ability to identify individual PAHs in samples as well as fingerprint different samples based on total PAH content with CESLS is demonstrated.  相似文献

Let be a principal ideal domain. The -representations with one distinguished submodule are classified by a theorem of Gaußin the case of finite rank, and by the ``Stacked Bases Theorem" of Cohen and Gluck in the case of infinite rank. Results of Hill and Megibben carry this classification even further. The -representations with two distinguished pure submodules have recently been classified by Arnold and Dugas in the finite-rank case, and by the authors for countable rank. Although wild representation type prevails for -representations with three distinguished pure submodules, an extensive category of such objects was recently classified by Arnold and Dugas. We carry their groundbreaking work further, simplifying the proofs of their main results and applying new machinery to study the structure of finite- and infinite-rank representations with two, three, and four distinguished submodules. We also apply these results to the classification of Butler groups, a class of torsion-free abelian groups that has been the focus of many investigations over the last sixteen years.
