[Theg-factor ratio of the first excited 3? and 5? states in40Ca was measured to beg 3/g 5=1.01(10) employing the implantation perturbed angular correlation technique. The static hyperfine fields (SF) in Fe and Gd hosts were used. In addition the lifetime of the 5? state was measured to be τ=426(7)ps. The values of the SF in Gd and Fe hosts were deduced and compared with systematics in this element region.  相似文献

In fusion reactions of58Ni beams with54Pe and58Ni target nuclei neutron deficient evaporation residues have been produced and separated from the beam in an electrostatic deflector with large acceptance. The recoil nuclei were implanted and detected in an array of 100 PIN photodiodes, where also their particle decays were recorded. The assignment of the 0.81 MeV proton line to the decay of109I could be experimentally proven by the observation, that it is followed by the 3.31 MeV alpha emission from108Te. A proton decay from112Cs was not observed. The decay energies of a number of known emitters have been measured with better precision.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. P. Then th,α)-reaction spectroscopical data are reported on95Mo,123Te and145Nd (target nuclei). The95Mo(n, α)92Zr and123Te(n, α)120Sn reactions showed up two lines each corresponding to the ground state and the 1st excited state with a total cross section of 32 ub and 52 μb respectively. In the case of145Nd(n, α)142Ce, a transition only to the 1st excited state of142Ce is present. It is shown that in the case of95Mo,145Nd and probably123Te, most of the cross-section comes respectively from the 2+ possibly 4?, and 0 bound levels whose widths are determined to beΓ α=0.5 × 10?6 eV,Γ α=1.6×10?8 eV andΓ α=1.6 × 10?6 eV. The present results on these three nuclei, when combined with the existing data, are consistent with the calculated statistical model values.  相似文献

The g-factor of the 480 ns, 9? isomer at 2.237 MeV in 200Pb was measured by the time-differential perturbed angular distribution method. The result, g = ?0.0285±0.0011 confirms the rather pure (f52?1i132?1) quasiparticle structure of this state. Half-lives of 480±20 ns, 43±3 ns and 42±4 ns have been measured for the 2237 keV 9?, 2154 keV 7? states in 200Pb and the 2208 keV state in 202Pb, respectively; E2 transitions and g-factors of negative-parity states in even, neutron-deficient Pb isotopes are discussed.  相似文献

A nearby supernova (SN) explosion in the past can be confirmed by the detection of radioisotopes on Earth that were produced and ejected by the SN. We have now measured a well resolved time profile of the 60Fe concentration in a deep-sea ferromanganese crust and found a highly significant increase 2.8 Myr ago. The amount of 60Fe is compatible with the deposition of ejecta from a SN at a distance of a few 10 pc. The well defined time of the SN explosion makes it possible to search for plausible correlations with other events in Earth's history.  相似文献

The β decay of the very neutron-deficient isotope 101Sn was studied at the GSI on-line mass separator using silicon detectors for recording charged particles and germanium detectors for γ-ray spectroscopy. Based on the β-delayed proton data the production cross-section of 101Sn in the 50Cr + 58Ni fusion-evaporation reaction was determined to be about 60nb. The half-life of 101Sn was measured to be 1.9(3)s. For the first time β-delayed γ-rays of 101Sn were tentatively identified, yielding weak evidence for a cascade of 352 and 1065keV transitions in 101In. The results for the 101Sn decay as well as those from previous work on the 103Sn decay are discussed by comparing them to predictions obtained from shell model calculations employing a new interaction in the 88Sr to 132Sn model space.  相似文献

Elastic recoil detection (ERD) with energetic heavy ions (e.g. 60–120 MeV127I) is a suitable method to measure depth profiles of light and medium heavy elements in thin films. The advantages of this method are reliable and quantitative results and elementally and isotopically resolved depth profiles. A relative energy resolution of 0.07% has been measured in real ERD-experiments using the Q3D magnetic spectrograph at the Munich tandem accelerator and a large solid angle of detection of 5 msr. The good energy resolution allows atomic depth resolution near to the surface which has been obtained at flat and smooth carbon samples. A large solid angle of detection is necessary to measure a depth profile with the desired accuracy before the sample is significantly altered by the ion beam. As an example carbon profiles of thin carbon layers, prepared by a laser plasma ablation deposition process, have been investigated revealing the high depth resolution and its power to resolve elemental profiles at gradiated interfaces.  相似文献

The hyperfine-state population of hydrogen after the bound-β-decay of the neutron directly yields the neutrino left-handedness or a possible right-handed admixture and possible small scalar and tensor contributions to the weak force. Using the through-going beam tube of a high-flux reactor, a background free hydrogen rate of ca. 3s^-1 can be obtained. The detection of the neutral hydrogen atoms and the analysis of the hyperfine states is accomplished by Lamb shift source type quenching and subsequent ionization. The constraints on the neutrino helicity and the scalar and tensor coupling constants of the weak interaction can be improved by a factor of ten.  相似文献
