In diffusion magnetic resonance imaging with high-angular-resolution diffusion imaging, a set of techniques has become available that allows better acquisition and representation of multidirectional diffusion profiles, e.g., in voxels with crossing, branching and kissing fibers. The poor spatial resolution and low signal-to-noise ratio of the data, particularly when acquired under clinical conditions, prevent tractography algorithms from reliably reconstructing complex white matter structures. With cone-beam regularization, an intervoxel smoothing approach has been described, which, in this article, is refined and adapted to fibers with subvoxel bending. By introducing the concept of asymmetric orientation distribution functions (aODFs), we are able to sharpen diffusion profiles of bending fibers and estimate subvoxel curvature. We also propose a deterministic fiber-tracking algorithm that exploits the enhanced resolution of aODFs. The approach is evaluated quantitatively and compared with state-of-the-art noise-suppression techniques in a study with a biological diffusion phantom. Moreover, we present results from an in vivo study in which we demonstrate the method's ability to optimize tractography of bending fiber pathways of optic radiation.  相似文献

In order to study the effect of substitution of Fe3+ by Al3+ and Cr3+ in Li0.5Fe2.5O4 on its structural and magnetic properties, the spinel system Li0.5Al x Cr x Fe2.5?2x O4 (x=0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 and 0.8) has been characterized by X-ray diffraction, high field magnetization, low field ac susceptibility and 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy. Contrary to the earlier reports, about 50% of Al3+ is found to occupy the tetrahedral sites. The system exhibits canted spin structure and a central paramagnetic doublet was found superimposed on magnetic sextet in the Mössbauer spectra (x>0.5).  相似文献

A treatment planning system based on magnetic resonance (MR) angiographic imaging data for the radiosurgery of inoperable cerebral arteriovenous malformations is reported. MR angiography was performed using a three-dimensional (3D) velocity-compensated fast imaging with steady-state precession (FISP) sequence. Depending on the individual MR system, inhomogeneities and nonlinearities induced by eddy currents during the pulse sequence can distort the images and produce spurious displacements of the stereotactic coordinates in both the x-y plane and the z axis. If necessary, these errors in position can be assessed by means of two phantoms placed within the stereotactic guidance system--a "2D-phantom" displaying "pincushion" distortion in the image, and a "3D-phantom" displaying displacement, warp, and tilt of the image plane itself. The pincushion distortion can be "corrected" (reducing displacements from 2-3 mm to 1 mm) by calculations based on modeling the distortion as a fourth order 2D polynomial. Displacement, warp, and tilt of the image plane may be corrected by adjustment of the gradient shimming currents. After correction, the accuracy of the geometric information is limited only by the pixel resolution of the image (= 1 mm). Precise definition of the target volume could be performed by the therapist either directly in the MR images or in calculated projection MR angiograms obtained by a maximum intensity projection algorithm. MR angiography provides a sensitive, noninvasive 3D method for defining target volume and critical structures, and for calculating precise dose distributions for radiosurgery of cerebral arteriovenous malformations.  相似文献

基于在盐酸介质中,碘酸钾氧化联苯胺使其显色,提出了光度法测定食盐中微量碘的方法。在40℃的水浴中,当2 mol.L-1盐酸溶液用量为1.00 mL0、.42 g.L-1联苯胺溶液用量为0.80 mL时,方法的线性范围为100~1 400μg.L-1,最大吸收波长在425 nm处,表观摩尔吸光率为1.4×105L.mol-1.cm-1。用于测定加碘食盐中碘含量的测定,回收率在97.5%~101.2%之间,相对标准偏差(n=7)在0.9%~1.9%之间。  相似文献
