A detailed analysis ofK s 0 production in \(\bar pp\) |<2.5 the average transverse momentum is found to be 0.53±0.07 GeV/c at 200 GeV and 0.62±0.08 GeV/c at 900 GeV, which is an increase with respect to data at c.m. energies below 60 GeV. TheK s 0 production cross sections in inelastic collisions are 29±4 mb at 200 GeV and 63±6 mb at 900 GeV, showing an increase compared to lower energy data. The central kaon density is found to increase as a logarithmic function of energy. At 900 GeV, where statistics are sufficient to allow one to draw conclusions, the average transverse momentum is higher in events with large charged multiplicity than in events with low multiplicity.  相似文献

Germanane (GeH), a germanium analogue of graphane, has recently attracted considerable interest because its remarkable combination of properties makes it an extremely suitable candidate to be used as 2D material for field effect devices, photovoltaics, and photocatalysis. Up to now, the synthesis of GeH has been conducted by substituting Ca by H in a β‐CaGe2 layered Zintl phase through topochemical deintercalation in aqueous HCl. This reaction is generally slow and takes place over 6 to 14 days. The new and facile protocol presented here allows to synthesize GeH at room temperature in a significantly shorter time (a few minutes), which renders this method highly attractive for technological applications. The GeH produced with this method is highly pure and has a band gap (Eg) close to 1.4 eV, a lower value than that reported for germanane synthesized using HCl, which is promising for incorporation of GeH in solar cells.  相似文献

The charged multiplicity distribution is presented for K?p interactions produced in the hydrogen bubble chamber, BEBC, using an r.f. separated, tagged K? beam of 110 GeV/c momentum. A comparison with K+p, πp and pp data at lower energies shows that the main features of the multiplicity distributions depend on energy and charge of the incident particles, but not on their strangeness. At high energies, only the energy is important.  相似文献

Multiplicity distributions of charged particles produced in non single-diffractive collisions between protons and antiprotons at centre of mass energies of 200 and 900 GeV are presented. The data were recorded in the UA5 streamer chambers at the CERN Collider, which was operated in a pulsed mode between the two energies. A new method to correct for acceptance limitations and inefficiencies based on the principle of maximum entropy has been used. Multiplicity distributions in full phase space and in intervals of pseudorapidity are presented in tabular form. The violation of KNO scaling in full phase space found by the UA5 group at an energy of 546 GeV is confirmed also at 200 and 900 GeV. The shape of the 900 GeV distribution in full phase space is narrower in the peak region than at 200 GeV but exhibits a pronounced high multiplicity tail. The negative binomial distribution fits data at 200 GeV in all pseudorapidity intervals and in small intervals at 900 GeV. In large intervals at 900 GeV, however, the negative binomial distribution. Fits to the partially coherent laser distribution are also presented as well as comparisons with predictions of the Dual Parton, the Fritiof and the Pythia models.  相似文献

Hydrodynamics in microcavities with cylindrical micropin fin arrays simulating a single layer of a water-cooled electronic chip stack is investigated experimentally. Both inline and staggered pin arrangements are investigated using pressure drop and microparticle image velocimetry (μPIV) measurements. The pressure drop across the cavity shows a flow transition at pin diameter–based Reynolds numbers (Re d ) ~200. Instantaneous μPIV, performed using a pH-controlled high seeding density of tracer microspheres, helps visualize vortex structure unreported till date in microscale geometries. The post-transition flow field shows vortex shedding and flow impingement onto the pins explaining the pressure drop increase. The flow fluctuations start at the chip outlet and shift upstream with increasing Re d . No fluctuations are observed for a cavity with pin height-to-diameter ratio h/d = 1 up to Re d ~330; however, its pressure drop was higher than for a cavity with h/d = 2 due to pronounced influence of cavity walls.  相似文献

Non‐Fickian sorption kinetics of methanol vapor in a poly(methyl methacrylate) film of 8 μm, at 35 °C, are presented. The behavior of the system was studied in series of interval absorption runs. The relevant diffusion and viscous relaxation processes were studied by kinetic analysis of the sorption kinetic curves, using the relaxation‐dependent solubility model. The sorption isotherm concaves upward at high activities, typical to Florry–Huggins behavior, while it exhibits a convex‐upward curvature at low methanol vapor activities, indicating sorption in the excess free volume of the polymer matrix. Thermodynamic diffusivity presents a complex functional dependence on the concentration, while relaxation rate is found to be a function of concentration as well as of concentration interval. Relaxation rate becomes increasingly concentration‐dependent as the effective glass transition of the system is approached. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the present work, dielectric and conductivity measurements in the frequency range of 10 mHz–1 MHz were carried out by means of a high-resolution broadband spectrometer on non-swelling bentonite samples, at various low levels of hydration. The evolution of dielectric response was also examined after annealing of the samples up to 260 °C. Conductivity results in conjunction with the electric modulus representation (M1) is proved to be the most suitable for the analysis of the dielectric data. Dielectric response is dominated by ionic (surface and bulk) conductivity as well as by grain polarization due to migration of ions along the clay layers. Both mechanisms are strongly affected by the concentration of bound water and the thermodielectric effect. Havrilliak–Negami dielectric relaxation functions were used to model the observed relaxations mechanisms in modulus formalism and the fitting parameters were evaluated at various water contents of the measured samples.  相似文献

A new method for the simultaneous determination of 1,4-dichlorobenzene (p-DCB), naphthalene and 1,2-dibromoethane (1,2-DBE) residues in honey has been developed. Analysis is carried out using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) in selected ion monitoring mode (SIM), after extraction and preconcentration of target analytes by headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME), with a 100 microm film thickness polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fiber. Several parameters affecting the extension of the adsorption process (i.e., addition of salt, extraction time, extraction temperature) were studied. The optimal conditions for the determination of these analytes were established. The proposed HS-SPME method showed good sensitivity, without carryover between the samples. Linearity was studied from 5 to 2500 microg kg(-1) for p-DCB, 0.5 to 500 microg kg(-1) for naphthalene and 5 to 500 microg kg(-1) honey for 1,2-DBE with correlation coefficients (r(2)) ranging from 0.9901 to 0.9999. Precision was assessed and both intra and inter-day R.S.D.s (%) were below 6.3%. The detection limits were found to be 1, 0.1 and 2 microg kg(-1) honey for p-DCB, naphthalene and 1,2-DBE, respectively. The percentage recoveries that were evaluated with the proposed HS-SPME method and the standard addition calibration technique gave values among 72.8 and 104.3% for measurements in samples spiked with one target analyte or mixtures of the three. This method has been applied for the analysis of unknown honey samples. The results showed an excellent applicability of the proposed method for the determination of the target compounds in honey samples.  相似文献

The influence of nonequilibrium electrons on the domain structure and switching of ferroelectrics (photodomain effect) has been investigated in ferroelectric crystals and ceramics.
