Holographic screen to project a 3D image by the method of point-focused aspects

A holographic screen that makes it possible to display 3D images by the method of point-focused aspects (of a scene to be displayed) or by projecting narrow line holograms is suggested and implemented. The image thus formed reconstructs only horizontal parallax, which allows one to cut the body of information necessary for 3D imaging. Projection through the screen and a way of recording the screen are considered.     

Structure of a glucuronoxylan of the stems ofSymphytum asperum

The results are given of an investigation of the structure of a glucuronoxylan of the stems ofSymphytum asperum Ler. The xylan was isolated by alkaline extraction and was purified by reprecipitation via the copper complex. The polysaccharide was homogeneous according to the results of gel filtration and electrophoresis. It was shown by hydrolysis, periodate oxidation, methylation, oxidation with chromium trioxide and IR and¹³C NMR spectroscopy that the macromolecules were based on a β-(1→4)-polyxyloside chain having side chains at the second carbon atoms in the form of 4-O-Me-D-glucuronic acid. To each side chain there were not less than 12 xylose residues.

Fundamental limits of waves propagating in an inhomogeneous multilayer metal-dielectric medium

The dispersion equations have been derived for various types of orthogonally polarized waves in a five-layer dielectric medium shielded by metal screens. The dispersion characteristics of electromagnetically coupled waves propagating in two waveguide dielectric layers, isolated from each other and from the metal screens by separating and intermediate dielectric layers, have been investigated. The fundamental limits of the spectrum of fundamental, higher-order, waveguide, and reactive types of waves are determined by the relative retardation and reduced-frequency range.
