Fast ions are observed to be very well confined in the Madison Symmetric Torus reversed field pinch despite the presence of stochastic magnetic field. The fast-ion energy loss is consistent with the classical slowing down rate, and their confinement time is longer than expected by stochastic estimates. Fast-ion confinement is measured from the decay of d-d neutrons following a short pulse of a 20 keV atomic deuterium beam. Ion confinement agrees with computation of particle trajectories in the stochastic magnetic field, and is understood through consideration of ion guiding center islands.  相似文献

We model theoretically the received spectrum in the case of sounding of the ionospheric HF radio channel by a chirp signal. It is shown that the result of processing of an individual time sample of the received signal is equivalent to the sounding of the radio channel by a complex narrow-band pulsed signal such that the group delays of its propagation modes determine the maxima in the received spectrum. We analyze the quadrature components of realizations of the received signal at the intermediate frequency at the bandpass-filter output in the receiving channel of the chirp ionosonde. The results of our analysis show the possibility of reconstructing the transfer function of a HF radio channel in the sounding-frequency band for the delay range determined by the characteristics of the intermediate-frequency bandpass filter. We propose a method for reconstructing the transfer function of the ionospheric radio channel, which involves supplementing the circuit of primary processing of the signal by a corrective digital filter with specified amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics. A procedure was developed for the synthesis of derivatives of the new heterocyclic system, benzo[cd]furo[2,3-f]indole, based on the cyclodehydration of 6-acylmethyloxy-1-alkyl-benzo[cd]indol-2(1H)-ones. Either 7- or 8-aryl derivatives of benzo[cd]furo[2,3-f]indol-4(5H)-ones can be prepared depending on the reaction conditions. The molecular and crystal structures of 7- and 8-phenylbenzo[cd]furo[2,3-f]indol-4(5H)-ones were established by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Giant magnetoresistance of the epitaxial Co/Cu/Co trilayers grown on vicinal Si(111) was determined as a function of Cu spacer coverage in the range from 0 to 7 ML. The first maximum of giant magnetoresistance and antiferromagnetic coupling was detected at 3.0 ML coverage of the Cu spacer. The portion of antiferromagnetic coupling in the first antiferromagnetic maximum was estimated as 17%. 3D growth mode of the Cu spacer leads to the simultaneous occurrence of the ferromagnetically and antiferromagnetically coupled areas between the Co layers.  相似文献

We have described the results of numerical investigations of different versions of a three-electrode elementary slit cell for the formation a hydrogen ion beam with a relatively low energy and a high emission current density. The version of the cell chosen from the results of these investigations makes it possible to obtain a hydrogen atom beam with an energy of 15 keV, an ion current density of ~500 mA/cm2, and an angular divergence of 24 mrad.  相似文献
