We report very low temperature ( T) thermopower and resistivity ( rho) measurements on variable-density, two-dimensional hole systems confined to GaAs quantum wells. As the hole density is lowered from 1.49x10(11) cm(-2) to 0.14x10(11) cm(-2), the system crosses from an insulating ( drho / dT less, similar0) to a metallic regime ( drho / dT>0) and finally displays insulating behavior ( drho / dT<0). Diffusion thermopower shows a striking sign reversal in a narrow range of density in the metallic regime, suggesting a qualitative change in the conduction or the scattering mechanism. 相似文献

SISCOM is a library search system for mass spectrometry which is based on a new method of coding spectra by selecting the most important peaks within homologous ion series, and on a multiple factor assessment of the result. Examples demonstrate the ability of the system to identify various compounds, even from mixtures or by reference spectra which differ from those measured. SISCOM is especially suitable for detecting structural similarities like common substructures, even in cases where no similarity can be recognized by visual comparison of patterns or by human interpretation of the spectrum. 相似文献

Capillary polystyrene-divinylbenzene (PS-DVB) monolithic columns were used to separate differentially acetylated intact IM9 protein isoforms. Compared to the unmodified form, the hydrophobic shift for intact acetylated isoforms was significant under standard reversed-phase conditions (32.5-45% acetonitrile in 10 min). The high chromatographic resolution of the PS-DVB monolithic columns resulted in peak widths at half height of 4-5s. This allowed us to nearly completely resolve a number of peaks greater than the number of possible acetylation sites. This observation suggested that not only the number, but also the location of the acetylations on the protein had a significant effect on the retention. Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight MS and MS/MS were used to confirm the chromatographic separation of isoforms. It was found that the acetylations site, especially on the N-terminus, has an effect on the retention on the PS-DVB column. 相似文献

In this article we compare the classical monopole mass filter of von Zahn and the monopole mass filter with a hyperbolic V-shaped electrode. The experimental results and those of computer simulation for both mass spectrometers are presented. We show that the replacement of a conventional 90 degrees V-shaped electrode by an electrode with a hyperbolic profile substantially improves the peak shape of any given mass, and increases the mass resolution by a factor of 3-4 and the abundance sensitivity by a factor of 100. The potential of high analytical performance combined with electroforming techniques for electrode manufacture indicate future practical uses of such instruments. Targeted photodynamic therapy (PDT) combined with image-guided surgical resection is a promising strategy for precision cancer treatment. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is an attractive target due to its pronounced overexpression in a variety of tumors, most notably in prostate cancer. Recently, we reported a pyropheophorbide-based PSMA-targeted agent, which exhibited long plasma circulation time and effective tumor accumulation. To further advance PSMA-targeted photodynamic therapy by harvesting tissue-penetrating properties of the NIR light, we developed a bacteriochlorophyll-based PSMA-targeted photosensitizer (BPP), consisting of three building blocks: (1) a PSMA-affinity ligand, (2) a peptide linker to prolong plasma circulation time and (3) a bacteriochlorophyll photosensitizer for NIR fluorescence imaging and photodynamic therapy (Qy absorption maximum at 750 nm). BPP exhibited excellent PSMA-targeting selectivity in both subcutaneous and orthotopic mouse models. The nine D-peptide linker in BPP structure prolonged its plasma circulation time (12.65 h). Favorable pharmacokinetic properties combined with excellent targeting selectivity enabled effective BPP tumor accumulation, which led to effective PDT in a subcutaneous prostate adenocarcinoma mouse model. Overall, bright NIR fluorescence of BPP enables effective image guidance for surgical resection, while the combination of its targeting capabilities and PDT activity allows for potent and precise image-guided photodynamic treatment of PSMA-expressing tumors. 相似文献
