We report the first successful deposition of triacetate-pullulan polysaccharide thin films by matrix assisted pulsed laser evaporation. We used a KrF* excimer laser source (λ = 248 nm, τ ≈ 20 ns) operated at a repetition rate of 10 Hz. We demonstrated by FTIR that our thin films are composed of triacetate-pullulan maintaining its chemical structure and functionality. The dependence on incident laser fluence of the induced surface morphology is analysed.  相似文献

5-Substituted 4-thio-6-azauracils [I, 6-alkylthio-3,4-dihydro-5-thioxo-1,2,4-triazin-3(2H)-ones] have been converted with hexamethyldisilazane in 3-trimethylsilyloxy-5-trimethylsilylthio-derivatives(II). Staphylococcus aureus (Gram-positive) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Gram-negative) bacteria represent major infectious threats in the hospital environment due to their wide distribution, opportunistic behavior, and increasing antibiotic resistance. This study reports on the deposition of polyvinylpyrrolidone/antibiotic/isoflavonoid thin films by the matrix-assisted pulsed laser evaporation (MAPLE) method as anti-adhesion barrier coatings, on biomedical surfaces for improved resistance to microbial colonization. The thin films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, infrared microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. In vitro biological assay tests were performed to evaluate the influence of the thin films on the development of biofilms formed by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains. In vitro biocompatibility tests were assessed on human endothelial cells examined for up to five days of incubation, via qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of this study revealed that the laser-fabricated coatings are biocompatible and resistant to microbial colonization and biofilm formation, making them successful candidates for biomedical devices and contact surfaces that would otherwise be amenable to contact transmission.  相似文献

We report on the successful deposition of high quality type I fibrilar collagen thin films by Matrix assisted pulsed laser evaporation (MAPLE). Thin films deposition was performed in a N2 ambient (20 Pa) using a KrF* laser source (=248 nm,20 ns) operated at a repetition rate of 3 Hz, the incident laser energy at a value within the range (20-35)mJ , and the laser spot area was (3.5-18.5)±0.1 mm2. The collagen films were deposited on double face polished 100 single crystalline Si wafers and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. We demonstrate that our thin films are composed of collagen, with no impurities and the roughness can be controlled by the deposition conditions. PACS 52.38.Mf; 82.35.Pq; 83.80.Lz  相似文献

We report the successful deposition of polycaprolactone polymer by MAPLE using a KrF* excimer laser (λ = 248 nm, τ = 7 ns). According to FTIR spectra the deposited films have similar chemical structure to the dropcast material. The fluence plays a key role in optimizing the performances of MAPLE-synthesized polycaprolactone structures. We demonstrated that MAPLE allows for controlling the morphology of films to the level required in targeted drug delivery of pharmacologic agents.  相似文献

We report the successful deposition of the porous polymer poly(d,l-lactide) by matrix assisted pulsed laser evaporation (MAPLE) using a KrF* excimer laser (248 nm, τ = 7 ns) operated at 2 Hz repetition rate. The chemical structure of the starting materials was preserved in the resulting thin films. Fluence played a key role in optimizing our depositions of the polymer. We demonstrated MAPLE was able to improve current approaches to grow high quality thin films of poly(d,l-lactide), including a porosity control highly required in targeted drug delivery.  相似文献

A fiber-amplified Distributed Bragg Reflector diode laser is used to pump a continuous wave, singly resonant Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO). The output radiation covers the 3–4 μm with ability of rapid (100 THz/s) and broad mode-hop-free tuning (5 cm−1). Wavelength Modulation Spectroscopy is combined with the OPO to take optimal advantage of the spectral scan speed. The sensitivity of the system was determined as 0.8 ppbv (parts-per-billion by volume) for ethane (C2H6) for the absorption peak at 2996.9 cm−1 recorded in 1.3 seconds, corresponding to a noise equivalent absorption sensitivity (NEAS) of 1.2×10−9 cm−1/Hz1/2. A comparison between results using the 1st, 2nd and 4th harmonic derivative signal from wavelength modulation was performed. The broad continuous tunability was demonstrated by covering 35 cm−1 while recording absorption features of ethane, methane and water.  相似文献

We report the deposition by MAPLE of metallized nanostructured (5,10,15,20-tetraphenyl)porphinato manganese(III) chloride thin films onto gold screen-printed electrodes, or 〈1 1 1〉 Si substrates. The deposited nanostructures were characterized by atomic force microscopy and exhibited globular structures with average diameters decreasing with laser fluence. Raman spectroscopy showed that no major decomposition appeared. We have investigated the Mn(III)-metalloporphyrin thin films by cyclic voltammetry in order to evaluate the potential bio/chemosensing activity on dopamine neurotransmitter analyte. We have found that the manganese(III)-porphyrin is appropriate as a single mediator for dopamine sensing in the specific case of gold screen-printed electrodes.  相似文献
