This article presents the development of a sensor made from a gold electrode and a receiving polymeric membrane based on tannin extracted from the skin of Punica granatum. L (pomegranate) for real-time detection of heavy metals in a hydrous environment. The basic principle of this device is the complexing (chelating) of metal ions through the adjacent hydroxyl groups contained in the chemical structures of the tannins. The electrochemical characterisation was performed by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and square wave voltammetry. Other morphological and structural analyses were performed by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and atomic-force microscopy. The results obtained showed the high sensitivity of the developed device (detection limits of 6.35 × 10?9 g L?1 for Cu2+, 1.1 × 10?8 g L?1 for Cd2+ and 2 × 10?7 g L?1 for Pb2+) and the possibility of simultaneously detecting several heavy metals, each one in a highly selective manner with highly acceptable response time (48s).  相似文献

Treatment of microbial infections and inflammatory conditions have many challenges in terms of efficacy and safety issues. Novel approaches such as nanoparticles based drug delivery system have shown promising results to solve some of these problems. The aim of this study was to exploit the efficacy of the synthesized silver nanoparticles. In this study, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were biosynthesized using root extract (aqueous) of Duchesnea indica. They were characterized using different techniques such as, ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectrophotometry, transmission and scanning electron microscopy (TEM and SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and zetasizer. The UV–Vis spectra gave a characteristic peak at 423 nm; XRD confirmed its crystalline structure; FTIR confirmed the involvement of phytochemicals in their capping and reduction; TEM images confirmed their spherical shape with average width of 20.49 nm and average area of 319.25 nm2. Various biological activities were performed on these NPs, such as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and muscle relaxant, which showed significant results as follow. Among bacterial strains, Salmonella typhi (MIC: 0.01 mg/ml) and Escherichia coli (MIC: 0.01 mg/ml), while among that of fungal Microsporum canis (MIC: 0.53 mg/ml) and Alternaria alternata (MIC: 0.51 mg/ml) were most susceptible. The AgNPs showed maximum anti-inflammatory activity (46.15 and 56.85%) at 20 mg/kg after 3 and 5 h of drug administration, comparable to that of standard. In-vivo model exhibited concentration dependent inhibition of both COX-2 and 5-LOX enzymes. Similarly, it exhibited maximum analgesic activity (54.24%) at 20 mg/kg dose after 60 min. of pain induction. Furthermore, they depicted maximum muscle relaxation (P < 0.01) after 60 and 90 min of drug administration. Above results suggest that these AgNPs can be studied further for the development of more effective and safe formulations.  相似文献

Optical and thermal properties of metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) grown BGaAs/GaAs alloys with boron composition of 3% and 8% are investigated by photothermal deflection spectroscopy (PDS). The band gap energy, absorption spectrum and thermal conductivities are evaluated by comparing the experimental and the theoretical PDS signals amplitude and phase. The boron effects in these parameters have been shown. In fact, it was found that gap energy and thermal conductivity of BGaAs/GaAs alloys with 3% of boron are respectivelly 1376 mev and 4.7 W/m K, these values decrease to 1360 mev and 3.5 W/m K for 8% of boron composition.  相似文献

Cationic amphiphiles featuring two thioether functions in each lipid chain of bicatenar cationic amphiphiles are reported here for the first time. The physicochemical properties and transfection abilities of these new amphiphiles were compared with those of already reported analogues featuring either (i) saturated, (ii) unsaturated or (iii) mono-thioether containing lipid chains. The homogeneity of the series of new compounds allowed to clearly underscore the effect of bis-thioether containing lipid chains. This study shows that besides previous strategies based on unsaturation or ramification, the incorporation of two thioether functions per lipid chain constitutes an original complementary alternative to tune the supramolecular properties of amphiphilic compounds. The potential of this strategy was evaluated in the context of gene delivery and report that two cationic amphiphiles (i. e. 4 a and 4 b) can be proposed as new efficient transfection reagents.  相似文献

The photo-thermal deflection technique (PTD) is used to study the transport properties such as non-radiative lifetime of minority carriers (τ nr), electronic diffusivity (D) and surface recombination velocity (S) in bulk silicon (Si) and gallium antimonide (GaSb) semiconductors. A generalized one-dimensional theoretical model has been also developed, and the coincidence between experimental curves giving the normalized amplitude and phase variations versus square root modulation frequency and the corresponding theoretical curves makes possible to deduce the electronic parameters cited above.  相似文献
