New design data for an open suspended microstripline is reported. Two most commonly used substrate materials, namely RT-Duroid (r=2.22) and fused quartz (r=3.78) are considered. Effects of dispersion and strip thickness are included in the results which are based on a fullwave spectral-domain analysis. The data, which is computed over the complete practical ranges of frequency and parameter values, is much more reliable than the currently available quasistatic results.  相似文献

Accurate dispersion data for open suspended microstrop on RT-duroid and fused quartz substrates was presented in an earlier paper by the authors. The present work repeats the same exercise for two more commonly used substrate materials, namely, Alumina and Gallium Arsenide. Accurate dispersion data for open inverted microstrip is presented. Two most commonly used substrate materials, namely, RT-duroid (dielectric constant 2.22) and fused quartz (dielectric constant 3.78) are considered. Effects of manufacturing tolerances in the dimensions and parameters of suspended and inverted microstrip lines on the electrical performance of these lines have been studied through sensitivity analysis. The closed-form expressions recently given by Pramanick and Bhartia for the analysis of these lines have been used to derive the mathematical expressions for various sensitivities and the dependence of sensitivities on the aspect ratios and on the substrate dielectric constant has been depicted graphically. Generally speaking, the effects of tolerances are seen to be reflected much more sharply in the sensitivities of the characteristic impedance than in those of the effective dielectric constant. Many other useful inferences are also drawn from the sensitivity graphs. The conclusions are presented in tabular form, so as to be of direct help to the user.  相似文献

This paper develops a simple but accurate LSE model for accurate prediction of phase velocity in fin-lines. The model is general and equally applicable to unilateral, bilateral and insulated fin-lines. Closed-form expressions, derived from the model, give the phase velocity within to ±0.8 percent of sophisticated numerical techniques.  相似文献

The electromagnetic scattering from a bounded plasma column in a rectangular waveguide is investigated. Using image and boundary value techniques, equations are formulated for reflection, transmission and attenuation coefficients. Numerical results obtained from computations are in good agreement with results obtained using alternative formulations elsewhere.  相似文献
