Radiational self-polarization of electron-positron beams in an axially symmetric focusing electric field

Radiational self-polarization of an electron (positron) beam with spontaneous emission in an axially symmetric focusing electric field with a potential of the form (r)=Ur^µ is considered. The analysis is based on the solutions of the Dirac equations found in the approximation of small oscillations in the vicinity of the equilibrium radius of rotation. It is shown that the existence of self-polarization depends significantly on the structure of the field; in particular, the probability of electron transitions with spin reversal is zero when =–1.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 4, pp. 88–92, April, 1989.     

2-Diphenylphosphinoyloxybenzaldehyde 4-Nitrophenyl-, 4-Phenyl-1-phthalazinyl-, and Aroylhydrazones and Thiosemicarbazone

Condensation of aryl- and aroylhydrazines and thiosemicarbazide with 2-diphenylphosphinoyloxybenzaldehyde results in formation of the corresponding hydrazones and thiosemicarbazone. The products give rise to conformational equilibrium between rotational and Z,E isomers, which is strongly displaced toward the E,E',Z' isomer and is determined by the nature of substituent in the hydrazine fragment.     

The spectral maximum of synchrotron radiation

A three-level system is considered as a simplest example where a possibility of solving the spectral problem is observed. We thoroughly analyze the relation between the amount of radiation emitted by the particle during the transitions to the first excited state and to the ground state. Generalizing basic expressions we can follow the evolution of spectral maximum. It turns out there is a condition for radiation maximum to stay at highest harmonic.     

Structure of the electromagnetic field allowing exact solution of the Schrödinger equation in superposition with an Aharonov–Bohm field

A charged particle is considered in a complex external electromagnetic field. The field is a superposition of an Aharonov–Bohm field and some additional field. Here we describe all additional fields known up to the present time that allow exact solution of the Schr?dinger equation in a complex field.     

Induced radiation by charged particles moving in a plane electromagnetic wave

It is shown that when a charged particle moving in the field of a plane electromagnetic wave is subjected to another electromagnetic wave, incident at some angle with respect to the first, induced radiation and absorption occur. Electron in the field of a classical and a quantized plane wave traveling in the same direction

The Dirac equation is solved exactly for an electron interacting with a quantized and a classical plane wave traveling in the same direction. It is shown that in a certain sense the system can be regarded as consisting of noninteracting quasiparticles.     

Synthesis and structure of N′-(2-phenylaminobenzoyl)hydrazones of aromatic aldehydes, ketones, and α-dicarbonyl compounds

Condensation of 2-phenylaminobenzcarbohydrazine with aromatic aldehydes, ketones, and a-dicarbonyl compounds affords hydrazones that in crystalline state and in solutions form associates with thecis-amide group. The hydrazone fragment therein exists as EE′E″ isomer stabilized by intramolecular hydrogen bond.     

Yang-Mills fields permitted by abelian complete sets of first-order symmetry operators of the Dirac equation

Nonequivalent complete sets of first-order symmetry operators of the Dirac free equation determine the Yang-Mills field, permitting complete variable separation in the Dirac equations with an external Yang-Mills field. Condensation of 3-Hydroxyimino-2-butanone Hydrazone with 2,4-Pentanedione, Isatin, Ethyl 2-Cyano-3-Ethoxyacrylate, and β-Ketoacid Esters and Anilides

The condensation of 3-hydroxyimino-2-butanone hydrazone with 2,4-pentanediones yields 1,8-di-hydroxy-2,3,6-trimethyl-1,4,5-triaza-1,3,5,7-nonatetraene which exists in the iminoenol form. The reactionsof the title hydrazone with ethyl 2-cyano-3-ethoxyacrylate, ethyl acetoacetate, methyl 2-oxocyclopentane-carboxylate, acetoacetanilides occur in a regioselective fashion to afford the corresponfing enaminetautomers; isatin reacts at the 3-oxo group.     

Particle localization in a double-well potential by pseudo-supersymmetric fields

We study properties of a particle moving in a double-well potential in the two-level approximation placed in an additional external time-dependent field. Using previously established property (J. Phys. A 41, 244023 (2008)) that any two-level system possesses a pseudo-supersymmetry we introduce the notion of pseudo-supersymmetric field. It is shown that these fields, even if their time dependence is not periodical, may produce the effect of localization of the particle in one of the wells of the double-well potential.
